  I live here because I go to uw nearby. I work hard to afford rent here and pay $1500 a month and obviously the other residents assume you must be 50 years old and can only be white to live here 😐 multiple times, older residents have come up to me alone, or when I’m with my friends asking for private information to prove i live here. A man even followed me to my apartment and forced me to put in my code because I was locked out and the call code thing they “claim” works to get in didn’t work. I even showed him my rent statements and he STILL FOLLOWED ME. I shouldn’t have to tell people my room number just because people are assholes. I understand they’re working with new management now but they’re not giving out any new fobs ? My partner has been on the lease for 3 months and they’ve yet to reach out themselves to offer a fob and we’ve asked and it’s been new reasons every time

  I spent several years at Napolean from 2022 to 2025. Several things happened in my last year there that warrant the low rating, primarily due to the move-out process as well as several security issues. The communal bike storage was broken into, and my bicycle was stolen; however, I was not notified as they only notified individuals with stand-alone storage. This resulted in a delayed police report that I had to file and prolonged discussion with my insurance. I am unsure why they didn't notify all residents, but this is a security issue and unacceptable. The move-out process was unsatisfactory. Napolean Apartments disabled the Parcel Pending package locker account prior to my declared move-out date, resulting in several packages being stolen/taken by someone else. Another security issue. Additionally, the property management staff mailed a statement of deposit accounting for final payments. However, this was the incorrect statement, resulting in my receipt from a collections agency months later stating that I had not paid several move-out fees—this was an oversight by management that affected my credit. I understand that errors happen. However, there was no attempt at a second notice via mail, phone, or email. It seems that this has happened before based on other reviews. Corporate Summerfield management was unwilling to retract the collections despite the recognized error. The collections issue is unacceptable and should be considered by tenants before they sign a lease at this location. The front office staff is very friendly, and I enjoyed my time here; however, communication is poor and I feel that it is necessary to let any future tenants know what they're getting into before committing to a Summerfield managed property.

  My boyfriend and I have lived at the Napoleon Apartments for a year and a half, and we love it here! The building itself is very nice, but the staff are the true show-stoppers! All of the staff members from the leasing to the maintenance team are kind and proactive. The assistant manager, Laticha, is such a wonderful and helpful person. She always makes us feel welcomed and heard whenever issues arise. The maintenance supervisor, Ralph, is very helpful and responds to work orders quickly. Overall, we would recommend these apartments in a heartbeat. Thank you to the Napoleon staff for making this past year and a half here so amazing!

  This property is located in the heart of DT. Great restaurants and easy I-5 access. I spoke with Jamey on the phone and she provided me with all the Info I need to make an informed decision. I LOVE it when I am able to speak with a person that knows her job. I feel confidant in her ability to answer my questions and give me truthful answers. and I LOVE that anytime I have called that I do not get sent to voice mail... that is the worst. Great property and great staff.

  I’m in my second year living at Napoleon, and it’s been a great experience. I was nervous about moving to Tacoma at first, but I ended up in the right apartment, and in one of the best cities I’ve ever lived in. The building is less than 20 mins walk to buses, train stations, restaurants, pubs, cozy coffee spots, and all the downtown Tacoma nightlife. Yet, zero noises! What really makes Napoleon special is the management team, Jamey, Laticha, and Ralph. They always respond quickly to any issues, whether it’s billing, maintenance, or move-in support. They’re super helpful and never make me feel like I’m asking for too much… even when I probably am. Unless I finally get my own place, I definitely plan to renew.
