Last Saturday I went to view an apartment. The leasing agent was professional. (Catelyn). She acknowledged me when I walked in. She took me on a tour and what I liked most was that there's lots of storage there. (in the unit). She treated me with respect and answered my questions. I've never been treated so nicely. Whereas other places I went to. No acknowledgement, rude, and just not caring period. So of course, they're on my top 5 list LOL. But Newport is. Thanks!

The apartment complex is old and cheaply maintained. The fact that the place is old would be acceptable if maintenance was done well. When maintenance is necessary, the communication surrounding fixing the issue is non-existent. Living in this community deeply affected our mental health. Home should be a safe space and where you go when everything else in life is hard. Our apartment did not provide this the last year since things would break left and right such as the medicine cabinet falling off, leaks in the sealing, and the doors falling off their hinges. We also found mold in the bathroom cabinet when we were moving out. I had allergic reactions and went to an allergist thinking this may have been food related. I experienced burning on my face, arms and legs with redness on those areas as well. We were told that they wiped the mold with a disinfectant wipe and that this was sufficient. My husband’s father is a contractor and wiping the mold does not fix the problem. It essentially puts a short term bandaid on the issue. My allergic reactions were due to the mold. Save yourself the grief and DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!
