Our time living here has seen a change in ownership, and the management has significantly deteriorated. Despite this, most of our problems have arisen over the past two years. Here’s a list of reasons why prospective residents should avoid living here:
1. The parking situation is appalling. The complex forces residents to pay for a standard parking spot for each vehicle. The base-level parking spot is not reserved, and residents must pay more for a “reserved/covered” spot. Each vehicle receives a parking sticker. However, the standard parking isn’t enforced, allowing “guests” to park wherever they please overnight. This depletes the limited parking spots available to actual residents. It’s frustrating to pay for two vehicle parking permits just to be unable to park because there’s no designated guest parking.
2. The apartment building and appliances are of poor quality. Our washer has required repairs due to normal use, and our front door handle has inexplicably fallen off. All the doors and windows in our apartment are the cheapest options, especially the doors made of cardboard-like material. The walls are cracking because the building was constructed cheaply and quickly. Despite taking good care of our home, there’s no reason a brand new apartment complex should have so many issues. To make matters worse, the only maintenance man for the entire complex is only available a few days a week, so be prepared for emergencies!
3. The constant influx of unnecessary emails daily becomes quite tiresome. Management sends emails every week about office closures during regular working days, even though they are supposed to be present. What’s the reason behind this? If not at least once a week, it’s two or even three times!
Stay far away.
