For the time I've been here seems decent. Only thing is elevators seem to be down often and parking is not enough for all residents. They didnt make it big enough so when full which it is by 5 pm you have to park outside on the street if there's room. Also there are children here. Not sure why unless visiting but see them often. Staff is friendly and reasonable price. They could have a pool or hot tubs but don't. No one uses yoga room they could get rid of that. 4 out of 5 stars.

Had a tour by Bernard yesterday and met Earl. Such nice and professional young men who are attentive to their residents' needs. I am looking for a new residence next year and they are definitely at the top of my list. Thanks so very much. 👍

I was so excited to move in here! The apartment is just the right size for me and my two cats. I have a good sized balcony and am working out how to have my container garden, as there is no direct sunlight.
The application process was fairly painless. You know, paperwork. Move in day was pretty smooth, although I was unaware of the "24 hour" notification I was supposedly supposed to give of the timing of my move in. The staff was very helpful and accommodating on that day.
Negatives: Although this is a 55+ community, children are allowed to live here. Not what I was hoping for. There is a total lack of communication amongst staff and between the Office as a whole and the tenants. The "Community Meetings" we have had thus far, have amounted to nothing. We have two elevators that are frequently out of service, leaving many of us stranded. This is a building full of old, feeble, and disabled folks who can not take the stairs. It's infuriating! We have been through, at last count, 4 on site managers since I've been here. I moved in August 31st last year. Although I do feel much safer since I've moved here, we have had issues. I live in an ADA unit and the "pantry" closet had 2 shelves. One was too high for me to reach. Now tell me, if I were in a wheelchair, what would I do? They refused to move the shelf down. I added a third, short shelf, in the middle.
Positives: Jarai, Bernard, and Earl are ROCK STARS!! They are always willing to help when they can and are extremely friendly. I love all the amenities. I only wish we would utilize the movie room. I love that I have nice, quiet neighbors surrounding me, and that I have formed friendships. I really love how close we are to so many things, such as the King County Library and Kent Station. All within walking distance. I absolutely love that I am allowed to individualize my front door. So many people have their front doors decorated, and it makes it feel like a community. People look out for each other here. I have been much happier since I moved here to Ovation.
Those who are unhappy, make themselves unhappy. This is my home, and if something is amiss, I let someone know. Apartment living comes with it's own set of issues. You make it what you want it to be! This place was an answer to a prayer for me, and I am truly blessed!

Looks very nice but scratch the surface and it's something very different. There are 2 elevators but one or the other is frequently broken and Sunday, 10/5, BOTH elevators were inoperable! There are older reviews that mention this very common problem and just a couple of months ago the north elevator was down for WEEKS. The elevator issues have been happening on a regular basis since they were installed. Also, nothing is done about: smoking everywhere, dogs barking endlessly, kids screaming in the courtyard and hallways, etc. If it doesn't directly affect management then they aren't interested in addressing it.
*EDIT (10/6): the elevators are again operational (for now) but staff couldn't be bothered to let residents know this. Communication between staff and residents is pretty much non-existent.
*RE-EDIT(10/7): So the lobby elevator is broken again, lasted one whole day 🙄
RE-RE-EDIT (after response from mngt): Residents weren't informed when lobby elevator was working again. Management frequently changes but the issues still persist.

A family member that I help translate for gave 30 days notice to vacate. The office accepted that in writing via email in late 2024. Then, months later, it turns out there's an eviction on them and nearly $4000 in debt when we have emails and pictures of the keys on the office's desk. Neither HNN nor the office is being responsive, and when the office does respond, all they say is to reach out to the manager email, which we have but no one responds.
