I’ve lived at Red Mill Landing for over two years, and while my experiences with management and maintenance have been hit or miss, I’ve still enjoyed calling this place home. The location is convenient, the Red Mill area has everything I need, and I’ve always felt safe in my apartment. Everyone here has generally been kind and caring, though at times it has felt like residents were a bit overlooked. More recently, however, things have noticeably improved thanks to the kindness and efficiency of Narja Sanders, the service manager. I’m not sure how long she has been part of the team, but in the short time I’ve known her, she has shown a level of professionalism, warmth, and genuine joy that I haven’t experienced here before. She has been making sure residents are taken care of, addressing issues quickly, and communicating clearly every step of the way. I truly hope she stays, and I believe other tenants will appreciate her presence just as much as I have.

Absolutely horrible management! 2 years, I lived there & they went through so many different managers and do not hold up to their promises. With continuing to change managers constantly anything discussed that one manager promises you, you have to re-explain each & every time a new manager comes in. Multiple emails were sent to managers & assistant managers over the years for many safety issues including fire hazards that were not taken care of in a timely manner without having to email over and over again to get it handled. I don’t know where they get their managers, But obviously they want to pay bottom dollar for who they hire according to what the residents receive. The complex area itself is actually fine, however the poor quality of up keep having to email when anything needs to be done is ridiculous. I have been more of a manager to the community than any manager that has been paid to be there. Especially, when I see an elderly woman trimming the bushes with a pair of scissors because she can’t even walk on the sidewalk with it being so overgrown. Those are the type of emails I would have to send constantly looking out for the people in the community, especially those that are older. My husband probably saved the company millions of dollars in a lawsuit because an older gentleman was trying to move old cabinets left in our breezeway from contractors, mind you… These are cabinets had been there for weeks from the apartment that the older gentleman is now living in when those cabinets were taken out of his apartment before he even moved in, second floor at that…and he was trying to get them down the stairs to the trash. This older (80ish yr old) gentleman with a cane in hand could’ve fallen down the stairs and seriously injured himself trying to carry it. I emailed and called on multiple occasions and kept getting told that it would be taken care of & it Never was. My husband himself took it down to make sure that the older gentleman would not hurt him. This is not our job, we are residence! Yet, when I move out, they want to charge me for a complete carpet install due to pet damage when the carpet is 9 years old. Not only are they charging us for the carpet but they aren’t even pro rating it for how old the carpet is. They are charging us a full amount. We are the people that never wear shoes in our house and only allowed our pet to go in two rooms of the home. This was not urine damage. This was damage where our little bunny picked at the carpet. I would completely understand having to pay if the carpet was new or even a prorated amount if it had some age on it, but requiring us to pay for an entire carpeted apartment is insane when the company would have had to replace the carpet, regardless due to its age. Yet they can’t handle fire hazards and normal every day issues. This is very frustrating after being told multiple times that I would not be Charged Because of the age of the carpet and that even a prorated amount would now be nothing by this point because of the age, the carpet would have to be changed regardless. Now the older manager the was moved to a different complex is denying that I was told that because I would not accept her 2 pets she asked me to take in as a favor. This is the kind of management that is there. If you don’t do them huge personal favors, they go back on their word when other managers try to verify because they don’t want get in trouble or be responsible for what they promise. Not to mention when our AC quit on us in July the office didn’t open up until 1:00pm the next business day and there was no email sent out. The office is closed Constantly during regular operating hours. Sometimes they send out emails on this, sometimes not. And apparently it’s OK for the office manager to leave three hours every day to pick her kid up from the bus stop and leave the office closed during this time claiming it’s her lunch break. It’s such a mess, any good manager will not want to stay to take on the mess of what has been left to them. 0 out of 10 with my 18 years moving with the military!

I feel at home here… I’ve been here since Sept ‘23. It’s been very peaceful. They do a beautiful job of fixing things and keeping things clean. I am hoping some day they will change our high bathtubs to walk- in showers. With thanks to the managers!!

Red Mill has been an incredible experience! The office staff have been attentive, caring, thoughtful and hard working the entire time I have lived here which is almost 2 years. The property is beautiful and well maintained too. I appreciate the care and concern Shirley and Jesse have for each person who lives here. They are flexible in work working with your needs and desires. The location is closr to so many things in walking distance which is a bonus! I have been exceedingly happy living here! The pool in the summer is also a perfect thing for the summer!
