  I want to start by saying I truly enjoyed my time at The Locks Towers. The staff were consistently friendly and professional, and the community events fostered a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere. Living in the heart of downtown Richmond was a major highlight being steps away from some of the city’s best local bars and restaurants made the experience even more memorable. However, I was surprised and disappointed by the steep rent increase $200 in just one year. When you factor in the $125 monthly garage fee per vehicle (which adds up quickly for households with two cars), along with utilities, pet fees, and other charges, the total monthly cost for a two-bedroom unit can range from $2,400 to over $3,100 depending on the model. That’s a significant jump, and it made budgeting increasingly difficult. Additionally, I was disheartened by the handling of my security deposit. Despite patching all wall holes and thoroughly cleaning the unit before move-out including walking through the apartment with staff I was still charged the full deposit. I hadn’t voiced this concern directly to the team, but it left me feeling undervalued as a resident who took care of the space. I share this feedback in the spirit of transparency and improvement. The Locks Towers has a lot to offer, and I hope future policies around rent increases and deposit assessments can better reflect the loyalty and effort of long-term tenants.

  The Locks Tower--a great experience. I have been meaning to write a review for some time. I am an infrequent guest of my son who lives here. The Locks Tower is the best because the management takes care of the residents. This place is very clean and neat. The grills on the roof are cleaned daily. What i like most about this place is the friendly people who live here. Management provides many opportunities for residents to socialize and have fun. A lot of thought was put into making residents comfortable--complimentary beverages available all day, a game room on the roof, carts for moving, a place for dogs to do their business, a great gym, a meditation garden, and a place to groom your dog. The apartment is great, too! I love the large kitchen sink, all the appliances, and the flooring which is great for cleaning. There are lots of windows in the living room with a great view. I am grateful that my son lives in this wonderful place.

  I've lived in this community since 2021 and have had a great experience thus far. The rental property staff go above and beyond, the neighbors are friendly and it is in a perfect location near various neighborhoods (The Fan, Scotts Addition etc). The amenities are top notch. It's a great building for new residents to Richmond ✨

  I’ve lived at The Locks Tower for almost a year now and I am so impressed by EVERYTHING. I needed a maintenance request on the weekend (after hours) and they had someone come in & fix it within the hour. I also always receive the best service from the ladies at the leasing office! Truly the kindest and most helpful people. I can’t forget our package fairy too, a sweet woman comes and delivers our packages to our door if they can’t put it in the lockers for us. The Locks Tower goes above and beyond my expectations!!!!
