Saw allot of bad reviews and wanted to leave a good one from my experience. This is our first home we have bought and we have been with utah housing Corp for about a year now. I had an issue with my property taxes last year and also have had to call with other questions. They have always been on top of things and answer all my questions even the dumb ones I should probably know but don't as a new home owner. They are always so friendly and helpful. I have never had an issue and appreciate their help and kindness.

I would not use Utah Housing again, but unfortunately, we have been stuck with them with two homes. They do NOT allow two payments a month (to benefit themselves), we get calls by the 4th day of the month. There is a grace period, but it never fails; they always call. This last guy got an attitude because I explained we always pay late, and right now the world is crazy. People are having a hard time affording much. I have always paid my house, and I will worry about the late payment.

One of the most outdated, inflexible companies I've ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. They won't accept partial payments. You have to fax them a written request for payoff amounts of your mortgage. They operate like it's 1980. We were about $100 short one month so the payment was rejected but I didn't know it. They didn't contact me until the 17th of the month (Mind you payments are processed the 1st) to tell me that it didn't go through so then I paid as soon as I could a few days later the full amount. The next month we were short about $100 again but I was paying attention and caught it within the first week of the month and resubmitted the payment .They reversed the payment and now I'm expected to pay with a cashier's check rather than just automatic withdrawal from my checking account. I have the money but now they won't take it so now I have to jump through these convoluted hoops to try to make my payments. Up until this point I have been paying on time and in full for over a year on this mortgage. Their policies are antiquated and absolutely ludicrous.

They do not have your best interest in mind. They will require you to send check or go pay at Walmart if your payments do not go through twice for any reason. Even if on your second attempt, the payment goes through, doesn't matter. Even if your payments aren't late. That doesn't matter. They just want to make it as hard as possible for you to pay your bills, so they can make as much money off of you as possible. Absolute scummy business practices. Go with anyone else!
