Nice place to live, but apartments could be insulated better. Hear people above you walking, talking, going to bathroom… Maintenance workers very nice, prompt answers to problems, convenient to Montour trail and Silverline trolley. Property managers very nice and approachable
Prompt response to inquiries. Very impressed.

The apartment is aesthetically very nice, the neighborhood is safe, and is situated right on the Montour Trail. Unfortunately, the sound insulation between units is extremely poor. We can clearly hear our next-door neighbor’s TV and their snoring every night, which has made it incredibly difficult to sleep.
I’m writing this review from my couch at 2:30am after being awake for over an hour due to the noise—this has been an ongoing issue, not a one-time occurrence.
We’ve reached out multiple times to on-site management (who are kind) as well as the corporate team at TR Properties, but nothing has been done to address the problem. We have felt that our issue has been brushed off.
We genuinely love this apartment and the community, but the noise transfer between units is a serious issue. We can hear our neighbor snoring at night as if they were in the same room, which makes it very hard to sleep.
If a quiet living environment and good sleep are important to you, this may not be the right place to live.

I lived at The Flats at Summit Station in South Park, PA for three years, and it continues to be one of the best choices for luxury apartment living near Pittsburgh. If you’re searching for apartments near the Montour Trail, pet-friendly apartments in South Park, or eco‑friendly apartments with easy downtown Pittsburgh access, this friendly community is truly a standout.
The management team is exceptional. Josh (Property Manager), Nicole (Leasing Agent), and the Maintenance Team are consistently responsive, friendly, and genuinely invested in resident experience. It’s rare to find Pittsburgh-area apartments with this level of service and community connection.
The location is unbeatable—walking distance to the Library T Station, minutes from the Montour Trail, and close to shopping, dining, and major roadways. Whether you commute to downtown Pittsburgh or love outdoor activities like walking, running, or biking, this area is ideal.
One of my favorite parts living there was the summertime food truck schedule. The community brings in a rotating lineup of local Pittsburgh food trucks throughout the summer months, creating a fun, social atmosphere right outside your door. It’s a huge perk for anyone who loves great food, local businesses, and community events.
The neighborhood is warm and welcoming, full of friendly people (and plenty of adorable dogs). Amenities like the clubhouse, pet washing station, and outdoor front-entry design give the property a modern, resort-style feel.
If you’re looking for luxury apartments south of Pittsburgh, apartments near public transit, or a quiet, eco-conscious community with direct trail access, The Flats at Summit Station is a hidden gem that keeps getting better.

I have a beautiful apartment, but it faces into a courtyard. I can see very little of the sky. Most of the apartments have windows facing an interior courtyard. It is not ideal. It is something like Blade Runner… But the management is very kind, and the apartment community is just a five minute walk to the Montour Trail.
