Do NOT even think about moving here! I have lived here for 10 years and it used to be a wonderful place to live, with the most amazing manager imaginable (Rob). But unfortunately, several months ago, Sequoia Equities Management Group took over and they are the ABSOLUTE WORST managers ever. They are rude, arrogant, and obnoxious. They do NOT care about the tenants at all. On the contrary, they look down on the tenants and treat us as their personal slaves.
They even allow everyone to dump all kinds of things NEAR (NOT IN) the trash can bins in the parking lot. Just the other day there were 9 sofas and lots of other furniture in the area. And they were there for months before management finally did something about it.
Then, they sometimes put a huge dumpster in your assigned parking space or the Disabled Parking Space, so that no one can park there. And since your parking space has a gigantic dumpster in it, you are FORCED to parking illegally. But then they have a towing company tow your car away for a fee of over $600 (and yet they only had my car for 2 hours)! And then the towing company will physically assault anyone trying to stop them from towing your vehicle, causing bodily injury. And both the towing company and the Sequoia break all kinds of California laws in the process, such as refusing to show you the Authorization letter that allow them to tow your car. But this is against the law, not to mention physically assaulting the person trying to prevent them from towing the car. But if you do decide to move here, and you have an All-Wheel-Drive vehicle, you better sell it first before moving in. Because when they tow your vehicle away, the towing company they use does NOT use a flatbed towing truck or wheel dollies, which must be used when towing an AWD vehicle, otherwise thousands of dollars of damages may result to your car, most notably the transmission, driveshaft, dual clutch systems, transfer case, center differential, and viscous couplings, etc.
PESTICIDES: And then Sequoia has a pest company that comes about once every 6 weeks or so and they also break all kinds of California laws. For one thing, they are required by law to notify all residents at least 48 hours in advance of spraying their dangerous toxic chemicals in the common areas. But they NEVER notify the tenants in advance or even the day of the spraying, or even afterwards. In the main lobby the pest company has a notice explaining just how dangerous their chemicals are, especially to children and pets, and that under no circumstances are kids or pets to be outside when the spraying goes on! And yet we are not able to comply with this dangerous warning because we have no idea when they are coming to spray!!!
I could go on and on and on and on about lots and lots of other things that Sequoia does, but they have already wasted too much of my time. I will shortly be moving out just like scores of other tenants have done in recent months.
SO AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
Today 3/4/26 Arrived at my 1:30 PM appointment to view an apartment at 1:29, and the office door said “Sorry we missed you, we will be back at 2 PM.” I tried calling twice while standing in the lobby, but no one answered. I figured I’d try knocking on the door in case someone was inside, but still no answer.
A gentleman then came into the lobby and asked if I had an appointment. I said yes, for 1:30. He proceeded to unlock the office door, and a lady instantly said “I’m having lunch,” without even letting him finish his sentence to let her know that a potential resident was there for a viewing. He immediately closed the door and told me there was nothing he could do and asked if I could have a seat and wait for her.
No. I was scheduled for 1:30 PM. I have a child, and I drove 30 minutes out here. My time was wasted, and I do not appreciate it at all. It just shows me how things work around this apartment already, and I don’t want to deal with that, so I left.
