- NEnzelibe euchariaNov 14, 20251.0I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so future residents can make an informed decision. During my time at The Retreat Apartments, I constantly dealt with cockroach issues, even after pest control request and buying my own insecticides. The problem was never fully resolved while I lived there. When I moved out, I was charged $470 in “move-out fees” for paint, carpet, and pest control — despite not damaging anything and leaving the apartment in normal, clean condition. The charges were based on their internal policy, not the lease I signed. The photos they used to justify the charges show ordinary wear and tear, nothing more. I tried to resolve it professionally and calmly, but management refused to remove charges that were never disclosed, not in the lease, and not supported by any actual damage. If you decide to move here, please be aware of: • Unexpected and non-lease-based move-out charges • Pest issues that may not be fully resolved • Policies applied that aren’t part of the lease This has been disappointing, and I hope future residents take this into consideration before signing.
