Moving from Italy for work, I was asked for an exorbitantly high security deposit (still unrefunded) and countless other incidentals to find an apartment that was, to say the least, unsightly, dirty, full of black dust, and smelly. In three months, I called maintenance numerous times because the appliances (washing machine, A/C, dishwasher, etc.) weren't working or were leaking, but each time I was told nothing was broken and they promptly returned a second time to replace the appliances. The owner and maintenance staff entered the apartment numerous times without me being there, and on a couple of occasions I found the bathroom flooded and the floor filthy and dirty. The only time management contacted me (I've never had the pleasure of meeting anyone from management) was via email to demand I pay $3,500 to avoid a bad rental record. I'm leaving the apartment at the end of November and am counting down the days until this nightmare is over. I strongly advise against staying here.

We are aware that we were supposed to give a 60-day notice before moving out, but we still provided 43 days’ notice before our lease ended. Due to personal issues, we couldn’t do it on time—my wife is pregnant and at risk of preterm labor, and we’ve had to be in the hospital several times. They are charging us an extra $1,100 because of the 60-day notice policy. We have been exemplary residents and have never had any kind of complaint!
