Im very disappointed in Centex. This is my 2nd centex home. My 1st one in Houston is actually what led me to purchase my 2nd centex. Well this 2nd build is horrible. The flooring is already lifting worse than the 1st time. They had to replace the tubs because they put in tubs that were not the right size for the walls. They talk very highly about their warranty but when that one year comes around they try to act as if nothing is wrong then ask for a high rating on a survey. Meagn walked around saying what she will fix. Never wrote it down so some of it never got fixed. I am so glad I did not do Megan survey. They had to replace the flooring because it was gapped throughou and a lil over a year the new flooring is worse off than the first batch. The panels are lifti g around the edges. Beautiful community but the contractors and the material they using is horrible. I honestly dont even feel like dealing with the issue cause i know they are going to bs me so I rather just do a review and advise to beware of centex. See photos. You can tell this was poor work that is starting to show. It gets worse i will.post more at a later date. Smh oh and im still waiting on the irrigation piece that was never installed when the house was built. But again that girl said she would have it done but never did. Smh. Im too tired to care cause centex know they wrong.

I had to delete my initial review I left due to behaviors and service changing once I bought the home and moved in.
Everybody was super nice and helpful in the beginning of the process, but now that I’m moved in the only person that’s willing to communicate positively with me is Heath with the warranty department.
Long story short my ac unit is too small for my home. My home was reaching 78 degrees on some days, and now that they have a few bandaid fixes on it, my home is now reaching 75 degrees on a normal summer day. I understand this is habitable by law, but this is miserable for me and my family. Nobody in Texas keeps their home at 75 degrees. I have a 3 year old child in the home as well. We cannot cook a meal on the gas range during the day because it makes the home even hotter! We don’t hang out in the bedrooms during the day due to them being even hotter than the open living/dining/kitchen.
So all in all, centex/Pulte sends Houck ac out and they tell me the unit is working fine. But the unit is too small for the home. My home is just under 1800 sqft and I have a 2 ton unit installed, which is STRUGGLING to keep the temp at 74-75 degrees. Centex Pulte warranty manager Matt Prince calls me and we have an unpleasant conversation where he basically tells me I bought a $300,000 home and I get what I pay for. LOL
After that, his exact words were “we will not be replacing your unit”.
The ac is our only complaint. We love the home and are so thankful, however we are miserable with the heat. They overcharged the system to 107% and now it’s blowing more air, but our humidity levels get up to 60 and 70% some nights. They attempt to solve my issue with bandaid fixes that don’t work. Either the builder took a shortcut by installing a smaller unit and labeling the home as “energy efficient”, or the ac company is doing something shady. I don’t know but either way, I am not happy at all with the service on my ac issue.

Need appointment to be able to get assistance here. If you are working with a sales agent, he will do that for you. It is a new planned community and the builders here are Beazer,Meritage, and Pulte./ Centex. You get to choose the model that fits your lifestyle and budget, and need. They have a big pool with water slides and bucket that splashes water at timed intervals when activated, hammocks, cabanas, tables and chairs and sun deck lounging chairs. Sometimes they will assign a lifeguard especially summer season. Pretty much the Pool Use Policy specifically states that children must be attended by adults when in use. The mailboxes are in proximity to your property but some can just get lucky!
The development is still on its first phase and the area is bustling with new construction and workers. Due its multi builders, you can actually compare the quality of work on each homes built in the area so one can wisely choose! Good luck on your home hunting!
