Make sure what you are touring is the exact apartment setup you are getting. I toured one with wood floor and was given one with concrete. The whole bottom level has concrete floor. I was told there would be an increased charge to move me up a level for wood floors.

This building hasn’t been maintained well, which is unfortunate because the amenities could have easily convinced us to stay another year. The fitness center still has the same tired equipment it’s had for years, showing that management isn’t interested in reinvesting in the property. Most “repairs” here feel like putting duct tape on things that really need to be redone. And don’t expect to find your packages right away, you’ll probably make a few trips to the mailroom and sort through piles in the package room before you finally track it down.

Reading through other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s dealt with the lack of follow-through, professionalism, and honesty regarding charges after moving out. I moved out nearly two years ago, and they tried to stick us with carpet replacement costs. When I asked for proof and made it clear I’d dispute the claim, they cut off all communication because they knew it was fraudulent. Fast forward almost two years, and they sold the so-called debt to a collector. While I’m currently fighting this (I had security cameras in the apartment), just know that this apartment complex is already struggling to keep tenants due to poor maintenance, inconsistent communication, constant management changes, no security, and rents that are too high compared to newer apartments in the same neighborhood. They even turned around and leased our non-renovated apartment for $150 more than what we had been paying. We left because the place was run-down. The photos look nice and the tour may impress you, but don’t be fooled, There are far better options in the neighborhood with newer amenities and similar price points. Do NOT move here. you’ll regret it like we did.

Years after I moved out to a separate rental, I find that they had "evicted" me after my lease ended, I had completelty moved out, handed over keys, and paid all of my rent due. I was never emailed and, to the best of my knowledge, I was never called about some small (< $70) cleanup fees of dubious necessity. Somehow this escalates into a post-move out eviction that I was never aware of and only learn of when my most recent landlord noticed the discrepancy in my history in their initial screening report. Im not disputing whether or not there was a small amount of money owed, but they made 0 practical attempts to make me aware of a portal charge and just jumped straight to using their little sleazeball of a lawyer to file the eviction months after I moved out rather than behaving like human beings and picking up a phone or emailing. Oh, and just to be clear on the quality of their lawyer they use-- they filed it with the wrong address and claimed I was living at Alta Riverwalk apartments, which was another property owned by Wood Management at the time. So to this day I dont know where they sent that poor sheriff to go knocking. This apartment has changed hands so many times and is simply terribly managed historically. Perhaps they've switched hands to someone new and capable but it seems like a pointless game of financial russian roulette to subject yourself to. Oh, and Its been a few years now but I still remember trying for the better part of a year for them to get maintenance out to actually fix my shower to have more than 5 minutes of hot water. Don't move here under any circumstances. Unless you enjoy unprovoked legal difficulties and cold showers.
