Horrible customer service!!!
We got checked in March 10th in the afternoon. We got here in the afternoon. After spending our entire day traveling with 6 children and adults. We checked in and went to our rooms only to discover it smells like an ash tray.
As an entrepreneur I know how some people just love to complain. So we decided to open some doors and air the rooms out. As I don't want to be one of those customers.
On March 11th we woke up in the morning and it wasn't nearly as bad. We went out for a while durring the day. When we got back it smelled horrible like cigarettes again! We shrugged it off again, but after we went for another adventure on the way back we decided to stop at the front desk.
We explained it to the lady at desk. She said that they would send up an air purifier/ozone machine. We never received any machine. They however did call and leave a voicemail and said they would need to come smell the smoke for them selves.
Tonight (March 12th) I awoke around 10 pm to 2 of the kids coughing. I also had a pounding headache, and the ENTIRE room smelled like smoke again. I could hear a conversation outside of my bedroom window. I looked to see 2 women smoking on the bench under my window. We immediately called the front desk to bring it to their attention.
We told them it literally smelled like their was somebody smoking INSIDE of out rooms. We insisted that somebody come up and smell the room and ask the people not to smoke there. They said that even tho that was not the designated smoking area that their is nothing they can do about it. They said they can send an air purifier up BUT we had to be out of the room. Mind you it or 10 pm, so that wouldn't work.We
I went back out and the ash tray is nowhere near where they were smoking. So at 10:15 I called the 1-800 number for Blue Green. I spoke with a representative and told her the story. She said "ohh no that sounds horrible". You should call the front desk. I told her I already did and what they told me. She just said "ohh wow". She said she thought they should have sent security up to talk to the people.
I explained that all of us are non smokers. 2 of the kids have horrible asthma. Also that my 2 daughter's are highly sensitive to smoke too. As well as my brother in law, and my self.
I asked of their other resorts had a 2-3 bedroom vacancy. We wouuld gladly pack up right now and go there. She said no, and that she would call the front desk. She put me on hold. Then got back on, and told us "they can't tell them not to smoke out side of our room, and that they were going to send up an air purifier".
My 4 year old spend the next hour coughing up a lung and balling her eyes out. We couldn't sit outside because 37 degrees out! So I finally found only room in the 2 units that didn't smell like smoke. My daughter is currently sleeping in the bath tub with the door shut and the vent on. You could say that I am not the least bit satasfied.
It's now going on midnight and I still haven't receiver a purifier.
Tomorrow I'll go down when the actual manager is in and see what they can do.
