This company is by far the best that I have worked with! Hands-down, best customer service, and fix things as quick as possible. I’ve worked with other companies around Charleston and no one ever answers the phone or gets back to me when I have an issue. They are also at a great price point compared to other property management companies that don’t give you the same level of elevated exceptional service as Charleston rental properties.

I was shocked to see that they had over 4 stars in reviews, but after sifting through these it seems like they combined their rental and real-estate companies in two. Very clearly obvious which half they care about, so if you're a home-owner renting, run as fast as you can from this company. You will find out quickly that you'll spend more time and money fixing their mistakes of mismanagement and incompetence than if you managed the home yourself. Among their many debacles:
1. Showing up 20 minutes late to allow potential future tenants to see the property. My house is 5 minutes from their office
2. Claiming they would paint my 3 rooms a neutral color wall-to-wall, then just buying the same paint color they were (they were atrocious colors from the previous owner) and doing touch ups and then ONLY charging me $1,000 for it.
3. Then telling me that the tenants would be painting those rooms the right color to fix their blunder, they didn't. I now have to pay competent painters to fix their mistake
4. I let them enter my home while I was still in the moving process to do maintenance work before the tenants moved in. They threw away hundreds of dollars worth of my things
5. They called me twice asking if they could get quotes to replace flooring that was getting large gaps. Never got said quotes
6. Told me the wrong garage code when I scheduled contractors to go into the house to look at the place. Then when that happened they assured me that someone came out they would be onsite to let them in. Something magically came up
7. They gave me the time and date for when they'd do the final inspection, so I tailored my moving schedule around that. Unsurprisingly, they never showed up that day and didn't even tell me about it. Had to ask them about it. They replied that CRP doesn't work on weekends, despite them telling me they were going to do the inspection on a Friday. They did the inspection with a lot of my things in the house at a later date and naturally they missed a lot in the inspection.
8. Had to ask them 5 times for the inspection report by email
9. They then gaslit me for moving in my furniture AFTER the inspection time that they confirmed with me, and told me they couldn't give me any of my security deposit back because they couldn't do the inspection accurately due to my things being there. Because they didn't show up on the right day.
10. Oftentimes would mention the wrong property our emails
11. Told me my keys were left in the mailbox. They still had them.
12. After the inspection, you'd think they would remove the lockbox from my front door, that I specifically told them not to install because I have a garage code. They didn't. I asked them to come out and remove it. They didn't.
13. Specifically spoke to the owner, Heather, early on about these issues and she assured me they would get better. They didn't
I could keep going on the various other issues, or about the number of times I had to follow up with them on simple requests, as they will just ignore a problem until it goes away. They will try and do the absolute minimum they can.
My girlfriend's family and I own close to a dozen rental properties, most of which are professionally managed. From what I hear there are not many great rental property companies in Charleston, but this has been by far the worst experience we've had. I've never seen a dishonest, less accountable company in my life. Both owner and tenant should NOT use them, unless you know a good lawyer.
UPDATE:
After posting this review, a supervisor, Matt, reached out to me to try and make things right. He was very helpful and understanding and admitted fault for all of the mistakes CRP had made and paid me back for some of the paint job that they messed up. If he was the client manager then I would bump this review up, however, he's not who people will be dealing with regularly, so I still certainly cannot in good faith recommend due to the headaches that I had to go through dealing with them to even get to that point.

If I could give negative stars I would for this fake management company. So much damage was left unattended at my property why would anyone rent or allow these incompetent clowns to handle a property. I'm currently in legal counsel finding out about my rights for months of neglect at my property. Be aware.

These guys pulled a lease out from underneath me twice before I could sign it and were extremely difficult to work with, as well as rude. I’m honestly happy I didn’t sign a lease with them.
EDIT - In their reply, they are still not being truthful. In their first instance they delayed processing my application for over a week before eventually giving the lease away the day after they finally decided to process my application. In the second instance i asked for a tour, they gave me a 1:30pm tour and then told me if I did not sign by 2:00pm of the same day they would cancel the lease, their representative giving me the tour told me that I could have an extension until the next morning but by that time they cancelled my lease.
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They will lie and undercut you.
