  After living at Bracken House for a year, my overall experience started off positive — the building is nice and maintenance requests were handled fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the move-out process completely changed my opinion of the management team. Despite moving out two months before our lease ended (and continuing to pay rent through that period), we were billed over $200 in water and sewage charges for a month when the unit was completely unoccupied. When we questioned it, management couldn’t provide a reasonable explanation for why the utilities were so high when no one was living there. We were also charged $25 for wall patching and $55 for blind replacement — both of which were pre-existing damages documented on our Move-In Condition Form that we personally submitted to the office. Unfortunately, the management team seems to have misplaced or ignored that form. To make things worse, we requested an in-person move-out walkthrough, but were told that wasn’t allowed. Later, the office claimed they didn’t even know we had turned in our keys — even though we spoke to staff members in person at the time. This kind of disorganization has caused unnecessary frustration and wasted time. It’s really disappointing to end our tenancy on this note after being responsible, respectful tenants who paid rent on time and took good care of the apartment. If you’re considering moving here, be cautious and document everything thoroughly, because the management does not seem to have consistent or reliable processes in place for move-outs or billing.

  yulia & taylor helped me find the perfect location for my first apt living alone - i have a river view and have turned it into such a cozy spot. they were so great and efficient with getting me all the documents i needed to officially sign my lease. i would recommend bracken house not just for the location but for the people who helped me get here :)

  The people here honestly make all the difference. The leasing and property managers are amazing — super friendly, easy to talk to, and always willing to help out. From day one they made the whole process smooth and made me feel right at home. You can tell they really care about the residents and go out of their way to make sure everyone’s happy. It’s not just an apartment, it actually feels like a community because of them.
