SHOUT OUT MAINTENANCE, THEY DESERVE BETTER!!! With that being said, if you have the money to go elsewhere, do that. The apartment complex itself isn’t horrible, but there’s no love or care for the community and people (aside from maintenance, who’s highly understaffed). Ever since the property was bought by whoever the hell owns it now, it quickly went to crap, and you can see it on the faces of the office staff. Everything in the damn apartment falls apart too, because most of the appliances are really old. Way too expensive for the lack of quality you receive. I now live down the street at The Emerald, and it’s far better.

When I first moved from a bad experience not far away I thought I’d finally found my place to settle while I gain my barring, finished school, and located where I wanted to settle permanently after about five or so years. I’ve been talking to family here and back home about how nice and peaceful and different and welcoming t majority of the community is. The beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere. I’m a disabled veteran from Chicago. I have my mother mainly to assist me. I’m a happy sociable and helpful person by nature. I suffer from a few issues from my time in the service that require surgery and are life threatening, it does not effect my life, how I live carry or conduct myself or deal with different types of people. I try hard daily second by second to hide my issues. I’ve been currently running into issues with discrimination with employers and now with my I thought temporary forever home. The government has been messing with many people’s finances as we all know. I just so happened this time to fall in that group. As any productive citizen would do, I immediately begin to so what was necessary to rectify the issue to ensure my responsibilities as an adult would not fall short. This began in April. I moved in March 14, 2025. I has no issue even with loosing my social security and my job until September 2025. I was 1 day late right after a returned payment and as soon as the payment was returned within 12 to 24 hours the payment was made with late fees and a returned check item . Due to recent social security employee cuts at the local office and workers being overwhelmed overworked and short staffed, as usual some people fall through the cracks. I immediately rectified the situation with payment but also went to the worker working hard on my case that the issue had occurred and was given a letter on social security notary, if the mishap about my payment that I was supposed to receive the day before and it was not any fault of my own and to please give grace for the mishap and everything would be rectified by this Friday, Oct 3, 2025. The maintenance and management team on site are amazing. I’ve had to get a new dryer, new ac unit and somehow my light in my office/meditation area blew my ring light for my channel I’m trying to establish. All this since March 14, 2025 and my rent is over 2500 and I was moving into a newly renovated apartment. I didn’t complain about anything. They never knew I was having issues either. The property manager submitted the paperwork to corporate for an approval to refund the late fees so to governmental error as the Pennsylvania law states landlords should do or be subject to violating discrimination laws. I’ve been dealing with agencies and been discriminated against so much I can’t tolerate it where I live and I pay for peace. I didn’t rent a home because I didn’t want the responsibility of the up keep I need knee replacement surgeries and I have a hard time half the year getting around just inside my home. I received word today that corporate said if the government messed it up they should pay for it. I feel so disgusted and disrespected that I could spend the money I get paid for permanently injuring myself from the age of 26 til death for someone to know what’s going on in the world around them and look at someone who volunteered to leave their children to risk they life gladly for you to do what you want, for you not to have any type of compassion or . Then for me to find out, it’s tea against the law. I’m beyond flabbergasted!
