- MBmatthew BassettNov 15, 20251.0Our experience with Toll Brothers has been disappointing from start to finish. We began our home-building process over a year and a half ago and placed a deposit of $211,000. During the design phase, we were informed that many of the finishes and features showcased in the model home were no longer available. This included key design elements such as countertops and the pool design, which significantly altered the overall vision we were expecting for our home. Throughout construction, I personally visited the property multiple times—at least a dozen—and observed ongoing issues and delays. Our scheduled closing date of August 28 was missed, and as of mid-November, several concerns remain unresolved. To make matters worse, we relocated from Washington State with our family, expecting the home to be completed as promised. Instead, we arrived with no finished home and were placed in an extremely difficult position regarding housing—particularly with the high cost and limited availability of short-term rentals in Florida. Despite these issues, Toll Brothers has declined our request for a refund and continues to push for closing based solely on the issuance of a certificate of occupancy
- SBSteve BOct 1, 20251.0Very condescending and rude. Rented at one of their apartment complexes in Bensalem (Berkeley Trace) over 20 years ago. Had some weird problems with the property manager who said I was making too much noise when I exercised. When it escalated to this office, they rudely told me “Let’s move on.” Kept part of my deposit for carpet cleaning even though I cleaned it myself and did an excellent job. My father, who ran a store that supplied fixture and hardware for the construction industry, said they were “jerks” but used the more offensive term. A former work colleague once witnessed them putting shingles on a wet roof. Many of my experiences in the two years I lived near Philadelphia followed suit.
