  Great staff the 2 and 3 bedroom are very nice. Iv had nothing but good Experiences while living here yes I it did change management, but they’re all still very sweet and kind. They work with you when it comes to any problem. Ashley is amazing we love it when she comes to visit and there new manager Alexis is such a sweet heart .

  While the property itself is fine, the number of inspection notices we’ve received has been excessive. We’ve had more than six in the last 14 months of living here. The constant interruptions make it very difficult to feel comfortable in our own home. The most recent notice was especially frustrating: it was posted as a 24-hour notice, but the time stamp on the paperwork clearly showed it was for less than that. For residents who work from home, especially those of us who must maintain HIPAA confidentiality, this lack of adequate notice creates unnecessary stress and makes it hard to manage work responsibilities. I understand that inspections are sometimes required, but the frequency and poor communication around them have been unreasonable. I hope management takes resident privacy and scheduling into better consideration moving forward.

  Marcola has lovely apartments and an excellent location, but struggles significantly with day-to-day operations. Trash, in particular, was a major problem throughout my lease. It was more common than not for piles of foul-smelling debris to form in front of the compactor even when the system was completely functional. On days when it wasn't, a mountain of garbage bags and loose trash would pile up. Animal waste was likewise prevalent to the extent that every guest I brought over commented on the odor. I do credit the staff with putting in an effort to resolve the problem (and to assist with other issues like noise complaints). But despite their efforts, trash remained an issue from move-in to move-out. Beyond that, my other concern is the location's business practices. In no particular order: * The past year's worth of Google Reviews have been removed. * In-unit washer and dryers cost $50 a month. * The security deposit "cleaning" fees are the most severe I've seen in 10 years of renting across the U.S. * Property ownership, staff, utility billing, and management have all changed in the last year, and not necessarily for the better. Marcola has good bones. I expect that it will grow into an impressive community as residents and staff settle in over the next few years. But in the meantime, it has a long ways to go before it can justify its exceedingly high rent.

  Transferring apartments here was a disaster. We were told our unit was ready, then not, four different times, and they even tried to move us into one they knew we didn’t want. We were given only a five hours move out notice, and we’re still waiting on the washer/dryer we were promised, with no communication at all. This team does not know how to communicate. Deedee spoke over me and walked away during our scheduled time to talk, and the front desk staff is completely untrained. Deedee either needs to be trained on how to lead or be replaced altogether. Now we’re stuck here for a year. Avoid this place if you can.
