Introducing the newest affordable senior apartments in Portland, Oregon. Traditions at Hazelwood is a 55+ active living community offering brand-new apartments in a prime Northeast Portland location. Our pet-friendly studio, one, and two bedroom homes feature modern conveniences and stylish finishes, bringing you a beautiful place to live. Exciting community amenities like a pickleball court, a dog park, and a fitness center with 24/7 access are just beyond your doorstep.
Lived there a year, left as soon as we could. Worst rental experience of our lives. Nothing good to say, negative stars would be appropriate if available. Even after leaving our apartment in spotless condition, our rental deposit return has been delayed past what is required under Oregon and Portland law. They say it has been processed, but it has never arrived. Management company was just sold and the new owners let go much of the corporate accounting department. So who knows what is really going on. Getting ready to file in small claims court.

It is not a place where effective communication is in effect. Management is only effective in acquiring tenant population, complaint resolution goes unresolved, the best tenant resolve for and resolution is to attain early lease breakage. Quiet enjoyment of tenancy is routinely unenforced. Management is routinely unavailable by phone, if there's immediate need, you have to leave residence and travel to office. Which can be quite taxing for individuals 55 and older, another consideration of no consideration for tenants of community. Property is not fully ADA, especially in areas of functioning usage parking garage with groceries and mobile devices degree of difficulty 10, trash rooms difficulty 10. Operational doors are non functional. Fire escape from upper units non existent, no property plans in order. Mind you this property is HUD funded. I will add they allow unwanted deliveries, such as freight without authorization from tenant. Not knowing freight has been canceled or your order of business with retailers. Packages are one thing, freight is totally different. In a secure building this is not a natural order of business. If you're looking keep looking, you've been warned ⚠️
