I've lived at the Lafayette for several years now and I love it here. The management is friendly and efficient - they always handle things promptly! The tenants I live with are quiet and polite. It's an excellent location near to everything you would need to live downtown (grocery stores, banks, etc.) It's thanks to the Lafayette that I love living in Portland.

Great location, 1920s charm, and the greatest property manager around - what else could you ask for in an apartment complex?! The building is quiet, well-maintained, and secure. I didn't have a car while living at the Lafayette, but there are multiple groceries stores within walking distance (not to mention a Max station and several Trimet bus stops mere blocks away), plus all the attractions of downtown, NW Portland, and Forrest Park within walking distance. Julie is a fantastic property manager: she actively communicates with tenants on a regular basis, and was available to answer any questions or concerns. I highly recommend living here - if for no other reason than Julie's fantastic management!

Julie the property manager is the best! I lived here for 7 years and loved this building. Julie was always so helpful and attentive and quick to respond. She really made the apartment feel like a community. She really made this building and she was the main reason I stuck around for so long. I will miss this building and Julie! I highly recommend Lafayette Apartments mostly because of Julie!

My husband and I have lived in the Lafayette building for five years! In fact, this October marks our fifth year anniversary.
Every evening we take a moment to look out our window towards the forest park view and give thanks that we live in a beautiful building in downtown Portland.
It’s affordable for two people to comfortably live in a one bedroom apartment. Any maintenance issue is taken care of, with plenty of notice. The area surrounding the building is cleaned up everyday and the seventh floor has a balcony that is relaxing.
Trains and bus lines just blocks away and grocery shopping can be done on foot. Also, we’ve made friends within the building and always have someone to rely on.
Thank you to our property manager, Julie and maintenance man Rob. This review was a long time coming.
Sincerely,
The Alfano’s
