  My brother and I worked with Breylan after he was recommended by a friend who had bought her house through him. We were selling our mom's condo after she had passed away so it was an emotional experience for both of us. Breylan was so lovely to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable, calm, and he and his team kept us informed every step of the way through the staging, sale and closing. I highly recommend working with him.

  As I write this review, I realize that I am the anomaly in the reviews here. However, I feel it is important for other to be aware of our first time homebuyer experience with Breylan. Our first red flag was that he recommended a lender to us that he hs worked with in the past. We obtained a preapproval letter and a rate from that lender that we went into contract under. I mortgage shopped and found a rate (apples to apples - same points, same fees) that was 0.75 lower (NOT insignificant) than the lender Breylan recommended. Breylan found out from the initial lender that we had an additional mortgage credit check. He called us and scolded (purposeful use of this term because it was a truly a scolding feel that we had done something shameful) us for looking elsewhere for a better rate. He described that we would have to alert the seller that we switched lenders and that could make the sale fall through. While that might be of concern for some sellers there was NO indication that was the case with our seller. Certainly was not worth 0.75 of a rate not to try. Regardless, he came on very strong that we had made a big misstep. All information I have learned is that your realtor should be a member of your team and have your best interests in mind. Round #2, we are having an incredibly different experience with our new realtor (feel free to contact me for contact information) and have uncovered more issues with our first home purchase. Breylan did not see the home that we put the offer on before we submitted the offer. We did not buy during COVID; there was time in late 2022 to be thorough. We are currently in discussion with Breylan regarding repairs that were required before the transaction closed. He made it seem as though we were less than thorough in our approach by skipping a reinspection; however, we have emails regarding the reinspection with pictures from the inspector. I will update this review as needed. I do not write reviews regularly. This is simply a warning that there may be a better agent out there for you.

  We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Breylan and his team. As first-time home buyers, his expertise was invaluable. Breylan is an incredible communicator, always quick to respond, honest, and transparent. We wouldn't be comfortably sitting in our new home -- which we absolutely LOVE -- if it weren't for him. We are beyond grateful for Breylan and his team. Thank you!

  We worked with Breylan and his team on the recommendation from a friend, to sell our former home and buy our current one and we were very pleased with our experience. Breylan is the consummate professional: knowledgeable, hard working, kind and ethical. He's experienced and current with seemingly every neighborhood and pocket in Portland and the surrounding areas. He and his team communicated clearly and well and stayed on top of everything. Buying and selling a home is stressful, but the right people can make a huge difference. I recommend Breylan and team to everyone.
