This company should be sued. They are the worst possible landlord you can have in Eugene. 2/3's of their properties are in disrepair or are partially condemned. And they keep all damage deposits no matter how clean the tenant leaves the place. Don't rent from Bell.

Where to start... my partner and I signed a lease in April of 2016 securing an upstairs unit at the Lofts on 19th. We were moving from the Midwest in September, and we just wanted to cover our bases early. By August, we hadn’t heard anything from Bell. We got a hold of them and they had us re-sign the lease we’d already signed and moved us to a first floor unit. They obviously lost our file. I called and was told we could move in “around the 5th of September” which was Labor Day weekend. We packed our cars and prepared for a 3 day drive, then called again to confirm that we could move in that weekend (you’ll notice a lot of double checking on our end and a whole lot of nothing on Bell’s end to be the narrative of this review). I was told “we would never agree to someone moving in Labor Day weekend... who did you speak to?” I said “Miranda Lethcoe” she said “... I’m Miranda Lethcoe.” .... lol. Miranda no longer works at Bell. A month into living in our unit we had an ant infestation and the maintenance man (who is so sweet and I don’t blame him at all, just his handlers) dropped off a can of Raid. Not helpful. The year goes by, and in January we’re given a piece of paper saying if we re-sign our lease we will receive a $200 Visa gift card. They raised the price of rent, but at this point we figured it would be easier on us to stay another year. This August, our WiFi stopped working (our lease included free WiFi btw). I called, and the receptionist told me “we won’t be providing WiFi anymore. It got to be too expensive for us.” I said “so am I supposed to get my own WiFi?” She said “I would” and hung up. No notice, no nothing. We were still under our previous lease, so this was another breach of contract. In September I called to make sure they remembered we would be receiving our $200 gift card, because we had been charged 1/2 month’s rent for no reason. The receptionist told me that they “don’t do” gift cards, and that we had actually signed something that said we would only pay 1/2 months rent the first month of our new lease. I asked her to email me the original form, she never did. I was confused but not surprised that they messed up. A week later (a week after our rent has been paid) I get a text from the manager saying they accidentally charged us 1/2 months rent. I called and said I was told that was on purpose. She told me that’s untrue and it’s my fault for not checking with the property manager. I told her when her employees feel confident enough to answer my questions without transferring me to the correct person, it sounds like a management issue. Back to the $200 gift card—we checked our lease and naturally it says we would be receiving the gift card October 2018. I called back, told them to correct this mistake and re-sign something saying we will receive it by 2017. I was told that they would not re-sign anything but we would 100% receive the gift card in October 2017. I may have asked her how she feels knowing how many people loathe her rental property. I was told I was being “petty” which is totally true and deserved. I was being petty as hell but y’all, these people are horrific. I have an email that literally says “ You already have this email chain which is your proof in writing that you will receive the gift card in October 2017. I will not continue to argue this point with you.” Today is November 1, 2017 and we have not received our gift card. We’ve actually now been told probably 10 different ways how this is somehow our fault and we haven’t gotten a single apology. I’ve literally asked “can you please at least give us an apology”. These people have no home training. I’ve never experienced such terrible customer service and lack of respect. Everything you read is true. Please don’t rent from these people. They disabled their Facebook reviews because they were so negative. They like to read through reviews and comment passive aggressive responses to how it’s actually the tenant’s fault and not theirs. It’s honestly kind of hilarious. One of those “you have to laugh or else you’ll cry” situations.

Heard you evict women who are about to give birth for no apparent reason...that's pretty incredible in a bad way. Would give you 0 stars if I could
