I recently moved into 70 Park Street East and want to share an honest experience, especially for anyone who is sensitive to smoke or expects basic air quality inside their own apartment.
I noticed another review mentioning smoke smell in the common areas, and unfortunately the situation inside the units is even worse. In our apartment, smoke regularly seeps through the walls and vents, especially in the evenings between 7–9 PM, and early mornings as well. We don’t smoke, yet our home fills with cigarette/weed odour to the point where it becomes extremely uncomfortable to work, eat, or relax.
What’s most frustrating is that this seems to be happening because some tenants smoke inside their units and management has not effectively enforced any policy or action plan to prevent odours from spreading through shared ventilation systems.
For anyone who is a non-smoker, has allergies, works from home, or simply expects clean air inside their own living space, I strongly recommend thinking twice before moving into this building until these issues are properly addressed by Cogir.
I hope Cogir takes this seriously and implements clear enforcement, ventilation fixes, or proper smoke-mitigation measures. Residents deserve a healthy and livable environment, and I truly hope management acts before more people face the same issues.

Stay away if you care about your family’s health. All the common areas constantly smell like heavy cigarette/ or weed smoke. I honestly ignored it at first, but when my 2-year-old started asking, “What’s this smell, mom?” while walking from the parking garage, I knew it wasn’t normal. In evenings, The entry to building connecting the parking to the 4th-floor building smells like a hundred cigarettes at once, and the entryways and back entry are just as bad.
We’ve been told the smell might go away after renovations or carpet replacements, but those have been long overdue - there are stains on the carpets on my floor and no one seems concerned. My son & I truly love the property manager; she’s been nothing but kind (2 star for her), but she seems completely helpless with the bigger management issues.
If you’re charging premium prices, Cogir, enforce real policies and maintain the property. Until then, I can’t recommend living here.

Love ...love this place!!..Been here for over 7 years. Such a great location...Our balcony is amazing. Really large rooms and very spacious...pet friendly too..and managment is very helpful!

Great location near Lake Ontario in lively Port Credit. Access to Go Train right out the back door is great for commuters. New upgraded balconies & railings have updated the look of the building. Great management.

Have called this place home since 2011 The building is well maintained and onsite staff are amazing. The newly renovated units are modern and open with an airy feel to them. Situated in the heart of Port Credit with easy access to parks, shopping and transit is the perfect location to call home.
