  This is regarding the listing on VRBO. They canceled it without explanation. Not sure if that is because they switched owners or not. But if looking at this for a VRBO, be aware that you may have to spend more time finding a place last-minute.

  15 month resident, from May 2024-July 2025 Location: Midtown is a great location. The views on the East side of the building are great, as you can see downtown and watch the sunrise. The homeless will leave you alone. Just make sure to lock your car doors. This is part of living anywhere downtown. Pros: House keepers are good, for the inside of the apartments. The furniture is a modern style and provides for the basic needs of an apartment. Cons: Management changed. The reviews listing a guy named “Brent” are all false, there never was a Brent that worked there. The current manager is Jeremy Torres and his brother Thomas is the part time “handyman.” They provide horrible service and are disrespectful. They won’t spend any money on maintenance and don’t even have a ladder for the building. They wouldn’t even clean the mold on the skylight, because that would require an 8’ ladder. Jeremy retaliated against me for putting in only 1 maintenance request the whole time I was there. The request was actually due to Thomas sloppy work of installing caulking on the balcony and the room not having the screen. It wasn’t anything I did. Jeremy lives on the premises and has a cat. He only enforces the law and rules depending on if he likes the person. For the people he likes he allows cats and dogs even though the website explicitly says they don’t. He treated me and my registered service dog very poorly. He also refused to enforce the non-smoking laws, including allowing a woman to smoke marijuana right in front of the cameras daily for months and giving her a better apartment. I finally had to put it in writing that this was a problem, as it was the balcony below mine and the smell was coming into my bedroom. Please see the attached photos. Note all of these pictures were send to the Shay email and ignored by Jeremy, who told me to take him court and stop contacting him. That is mold in the hallway skylight. They continue to have problems with leaks because they refuse to hire a professional and thinking caulking everything will fix it. The vents to the apartment are filled with the pink insulation and closed off. The story of this is that before the renovations in 2022, it was a Section 8 apartment complex. With the current management it will be back to that in a couple of years.

  What an incredible place to stay for our long weekend in OKC! AMAZING LOCATION, so many shops and restaurants just a couple minutes away. The 1 bedroom had a king bed that was so comfortable. Unit 18 has a large balcony and living space. It was extremely clean and the decor is beautiful and unique. The kitchen has everything you need with a full size fridge and oven. The hospitality manager was always available to answer questions & check in and out was a breeze. I highly recommend the Shay!!!
