Alexis was extremely helpful and did a great job getting me through the process. Also this is the cleanest apartment I've ever moved in.

I’ve lived here for four years and in three different units. The entire time it’s been under construction because the wood used to build the complex was already rotting. I have always been waken up by construction even on days off. At one point, wasps were getting into my apartment and the complex hardly did anything about it or took it seriously. Said it was fixed the first time but they still kept getting in. Took them about three weeks to fix it. In the same wasp unit, a storm came through and leaked into my apartment due to construction and ruined a $2000 computer set up. They only gave me $700 to replace everything but that took them 2 months to get to me. Told me when I moved in back in 2021 that the renters insurance through them would cover any damaged items but when it happened I was told it was an “act of god” and that it didn’t cover anything so I had to fight just to get compensation. They didn’t offer to move me to a different unit or anything for the water damage and wasps. Loud neighbors and kids always running up and down the halls with nothing ever being done. Fire alarm is constantly going off for no reason. Elevators always broken. Hallways always stink. You have to pay an extra $50 a month to park in the “gated” parking garage but the gate has never functioned. The gate has worked maybe 8 months in total of the four years. When I brought up that it’s advertised as gated parking on the website, the manager told me that it’s not marketed as secured parking which doesn’t really make sense when on the website it literally says GATED parking. This is a huge issue especially with all the car break ins going on in the area as well. If you don’t want to pay for that, you have to park outside, but there is very limited outside parking, so you have to park at either the cvs or the doctors office next to the building, but if you do, you can get towed, which has happened to me twice after being assured by the leasing office that it’s a shared lot and we can park there. I was never offered money back after being lied to and having to use my own money to get my cars out of the towing lot. When I brought up these issues to the complex recently, current management Trevor only argued with me and even tried blaming me by saying I never brought up the issues in the past, but the thing is I have brought them up in the past to the different team of people there. The new team has only been there over a year. New management and old management gave so much conflicting information and i’m sure i’m not the only one that has been taken advantage of and lied to. Overall, not a very good place to live, would not recommend if you enjoy peace, quiet, and not being squeezed for every cent at a place that doesn’t care about its residents. Poorly ran and poorly built. When you bring up the issues, all they will tell you that other residents experience the same issues and that there is nothing to do. This complex and the company who owns it are ridiculous.

Getting ready to move out after nearly four years. Units themselves are nice. Maintenance is top-notch and very responsive to make repairs. Can't praise them enough with how knowledgeable and helpful they are. They really keep this place together especially in the winter with temp related issues and plowing snow on the perimeter road of the complex. They came to the rescue right after I moved in and I ran the washing machine first time. My unit started to flood because whatever vendor they use to turn units around for the next resident left the water line disconnected when cleaning (which maybe consider a new vendor to turn the units around because there were other move-in issues). Management is fairly easy to work with and nice. For the most part, I've loved living here BUT there are some issues I just couldn't come to terms with anymore. The building is definitely starting to reveal its age. Elevators break down a decent amount throughout the year. Management does their best to get it back up again. Fire alarms go off a couple times a month especially in the winter when water lines break which is almost guaranteed when temps start to drop below freezing. Parking garage door has been down and left open nearly 50% of the time I've lived here. There was a period of vehicle break-ins which is normal for any complex; however, if you were hoping for peace of mind with having a secure garage, maybe reconsider. Biggest gripe to be warned about is the constant state of construction. Construction began to replace the siding in November 2022 with the premise of it being only a couple months long process. And now nearly 3 YEARS later construction is still ongoing with no end in sight and little communication or knowledge on the progress from management. Dumpsters and constructions equipment surround the complex and shut down certain parts of the roadway around the complex. Utter eyesore. At certain times, parking areas are blocked off limiting resident parking. Yet rent continues to go up every year for a complex that is in a constant state of construction. Price isn't worth the headaches anymore. Not management's fault, but I think they are getting totally screwed over by this construction company. So just food for thought. If you can look past all the construction, great place to live. I'm sure it will have a stellar aesthetic and priced right after the multiyear long project is complete. For now, it's not. Lastly, I was given a slight sour taste on the moving out process and kinda confirmed my desire to move on from 801 Polaris. For military members, they won't work with you. Asked for a week extension to move out as I'm on active orders with the National Guard out of state. Their response was to charge me the month-to-month rate of nearly 200% my current rent, which the month-to-month rate alone is absolutely ridiculous. I get it, it's a contract but I would have hoped for a little grace. Needless to say I coordinated with my command team to come home early to move out.

The apartment itself is nice. Layout is typical in my unit but nice enough for two. The management team has been very easy to work with and the maintenance team has been very responsive. The hall area however is painted a dark grey and has minimal lighting. New carpet is nice but a lighter color on the walls would make this more appealing. Landscaping outside is nice but courtyard is often (like now) overrun by weeds. I agree with previous comments about entryways not locking (all internal doors need windows so you don’t get nailed as I have); or being kicked in and the secure garage gates being nonfunctional. I’ve lived here over 2 years and have suggested a gate system like the one we had in Chicago. Pavement has been a mess and there is an extreme lack of visitor parking. Walls are thin and you can hear yelling or a screamer easily. All in all not terrible. I’ve lived in worse.

My experience at this complex has been wonderful from day one. They helped me through the entire moving process, and whenever I’ve had an issue in my apartment, the response has been fast and efficient. The maintenance team is always kind and respectful, which makes everything so much easier. I especially want to thank Taelynn, who supported me from day one and made me feel confident and comfortable throughout the whole process. On top of that, the complex has a great location, nice amenities, and very friendly neighbors. I truly feel at home here💕
