We rented out our home in Reno through PMI. We learned that utilizing their service was a HUGE mistake.
They found us a tenant that damaged our home in excess of $16,000 in 1 and a half years of renting.
The damages included holes in our walls, stained/damaged carpet, attempts to paint over our walls with the wrong color, an unauthorized cat, 4 CHILDREN (which we were not informed about), unauthorized additional tenants not on the lease, a pool placed in our backyard, damaged baseboard, damaged doors, damaged sink, paint on our garage floor, writing and drawings on the walls of our garage, hundreds of cigarette butts left outside and around the property, junk littered in the yard, and layers of filth all throughout the home.
Donna's answer to our frustration was "it could have been worse."
PMI hardly did home inspections despite our GOLD membership. In our portal we had a "drive by" inspection of the WRONG home.
Additionally, PMI would conduct repairs without informing us-- surprising us with money deducted from the rent.
Eventually, we had to ask DONNA 3 times to evict our tenant who was 2 months late on rent. She was (mostly) unreachable and unprofessional and we were essentially forced to manage the property management company with a multitude of phone calls and emails.
Furthermore, we were NEVER informed the tenant was late on rent for the 3-4 months preceding eviction.
Upon move out, the team they hired to "deep clean" was a joke. I personally had to scrub the walls, the pantry, underneath appliances, and scrub the bathrooms of makeup and toothpaste.
Additionally, the junk removal contractor they hired to enter our home was EXTREMELY unprofessional.
Donna is RUDE, CONDESCENDING, and mostly UNREACHABLE. If we did miraculously receive an email from her, it was not helpful. She clearly has 0 clue as to what she is doing.
To add insult to injury, after cleaning, a RANDOM squatter was discovered in our home-- requiring additional cleaning service and a bill.
We hired a property management company, PMI, to manage our property because we lived out of state.
In the end, we had to manage the management company. It caused a lot of stress and as property owners we were treated with disrespect by Donna.
Now, we are saddled with this horrible experience, debt, and stress. Would not recommend.
