The pool policy is a joke (especially if you live in 310), and parking enforcement is just harassment at this point. I literally got a $60 ticket while I had a valid parking pass, all because I rented a U-Haul to store my things while management had my floors changed from carpet to vinyl (which they charged me an extra $250/month for). Marina, the manager, knew exactly what was happening in my unit, but instead of being reasonable, they called the cops and issued a ticket. That’s not tenant support, that’s targeting and kind of predatory. They’ll nickel and dime you every chance they get. For what you pay here ($3,000+ in rent), you should expect a much higher level of care & involve law enforcement when you don’t get your way. Previous comments about the property manager, Marina, she is definitely not a nice person and if you move here, you’d have to deal with her. The rest of the staff is pretty nice especially maintenance, security, and the leasing specialists.

I’ve been living at Prospect Place Apartments for over seven years, and I must say, it keeps getting better! The recent renovations are absolutely stunning—the new painting and carpeting have given the building a fresh, modern vibe. The management team is top-notch, with great communication, especially Ariege, who always goes above and beyond to address my needs promptly. I also love the convenience of having not one, but two gyms right on-site, and the pool area with barbecue grills and a cabana is the perfect summer retreat. Living here is truly a pleasure, and I can’t recommend it enough!

TL;DR: Good management and you are close to so much! Apartments are a bit old, but you have central air and underground parking. The main reason why I moved out was issues with the internet service options available. If they were to invest in updating the system, I honestly would NOT have moved. I lived at Prospect Place for the past year and recently moved out. My overall experience with the building was "ok" during my year-long lease; but it has drastically improved over the past couple of months. Prospect Place has two buildings that are very different. I lived on the 310 side which is the lower building. It is a bit newer and has various different apartment styles. The tower is older, but from my understanding the units are a bit larger. I really don't know more about the Tower than that. Positives: - Most of the apartments are very spacious. - Very close to the hospital. Only a 2-3 minute drive away from of the big New Jersey malls. - Only 3 minutes away from the interstate - There are bus & train stops to get into NYC that are only a 5 minute walk. - Maintenance is very responsive and helpful; even for very minor things!! - Management has drastically improved over the past couple of months. They have gotten very responsive and are very flexible. - Central Air & Heating - Underground Garage Parking. This was so nice for the Winter!! Negatives: - Both buildings are older and it shows in some places. - At times, it feels like they don't have enough management to support the building. Again, management and maintenance is fantastic; but sometimes it takes several days to get an answer or have something fixed. - There are a lot of College kids who live here. I have walked down the hallways & staircases and have seen beer cans laying out and have smelled tobacco. I don't think this is totally unexpected for an apartment building close to a College though. Finally, my biggest negative and the main reason I moved.... the Internet. Prospect Place does have Verizon Fios and it is technically Fiber; but your speeds will be slow. I was paying for the max speeds and I was barely able to get more than 30-40 mbs. Prospect Place was one of the first apartment complexes in Hackensack to install Fios and it hasn't been updated. I ran into several issues where another apartment was having their internet installed and the Fios technician would unplug my internet to install someone else's. It honestly got so bad that I had a Verizon technician come on site 3 times in a MONTH to reinstall my internet. Thankfully these issues stopped going into this year; but I am not sure if it was luck or not. If Prospect Place was able to update their infrastructure and improve their Fios services, then I honestly would have stayed. But the constant issues and low speeds pushed me to look for other options. All in all, I wish Stan and the rest of the Prospect Place team success and I would consider doing a tour if it interests you!
