  My husband and I were first time home buyers and gateway mortgage worked with us throughout the whole process. Lisa, the lender we worked with specifically, answered so many questions, was so patient with us, and her and her team worked quickly and throughly. We would recommend this company and Lisa White to anyone we know buying a house!

  We have had our mortgage with them for a year. They have teeerrriibbllleee customer service. Our mortgage was sold to Gateway by American National Bank and they have made the process a nightmare. Our insurance company did not have contact information for them and when they didn't receive renewal information from our insurance company they didn't make a phone call to check where to send our escrow that was set aside for insurance. They sent us a letter a month later. So we called our insurance company and gave them the new information and had them send the policy over. It took them another month to send them the payment for insurance, which almost caused our policy to be canceled. Then I recieved another notice a month later, by mail, not a phone call, that the mortgagee on our policy was not listed correctly and that this was the second and final notice and they were going to put insurance on our home for us and charge us the premium! We have paid our mortgage on time every month since we bought our house and because of Gateway's lack of communication skills with us and our insurance company, they're trying to say they're going to make us pay two insurance premiums. I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience and I highly recommend if you're planning to purchase a house, DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!
