  Ryan Homes made buying our house really easy. The people were nice, kept us updated, and everything went smoothly. The house was built on time and looks great. Closing was easy. We are happy with our new home.

  I have lived in my townhouse for over a year and I have to say, I love my home! I had such a great Ryan Homes experience. Victoria was my sales rep and she went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable with the process. As a first time home buyer, I needed some extra reassurance and she provided that! John and Harrison were my project managers and they were both so knowledgeable and practical when it came to the construction process. They were able to answer all of my questions in detail and with extreme patience. Anthony from NVR mortgage was also great to work with! When I closed on my townhouse, I felt that I had all the knowledge that I needed to take care of it. A year later, I am still thrilled with my decision! This house has turned into my home. Highly recommend this community and the team that I worked with!

  I am a first-time homebuyer and active-duty military service member using my VA home loan. On April 26, 2025, I toured a Harpers Glen townhome in Wendell, NC. After viewing the property, the sales agent, Kelsey, was extremely pushy, emphasizing that this was the “last home” available at $249,000 and warning that if I didn’t act immediately, it would be listed to the general market by Monday. To secure the home, I was told I had to submit a deposit by Monday—which I did. Following their recommendation, I also agreed to use their preferred lender, NVR Mortgage, to receive additional credits toward closing costs. After signing documents with NVR, they conducted a soft credit inquiry followed by a hard credit inquiry, which I understood was standard given I had a signed contract. However, on May 2, 2025, my realtor was contacted by Kelsey and informed that the builder had raised the home price to $256,000 and reduced my closing cost credits by $5,000—after I had already submitted my deposit and completed the credit checks. Now, I am out my deposit, stuck with an unnecessary hard inquiry on my credit report, and left feeling completely misled and disrespected. This company’s practices are unprofessional, unethical, and have left an incredibly bitter taste in my mouth. I would absolutely not recommend them to anyone, especially first-time buyers or military families.
