  About a month a go I left a 1 star review, which I have since deleted and removed. A day after I left the review I was contacted. Which I was not expecting at all, because companies don’t care enough to even call you. But, when I was contacted, my issues and concerns were addressed. Accountability was taken. I love that I felt seen and heard. I love that Highpointe even cared enough to contact me! That means a lot! Anyway, since I left a bad review, it was only right I left a good review. Thank you so much to the Highpointe employees! You guys are the Chikfila of apartment complexes.

  We recently relocated and settled into our new home just a week ago. I would love to share with you our experience during the moving process. From the beginning, it was incredibly convenient as we were able to complete the application online. The approval process was fast, and the team was there to guide us every step of the way. The staff, particularly Makanna, stood out with their exceptional kindness and professionalism. Makanna's assistance played a major role in our decision to move here. As for the apartment itself, we're pleased with both its aesthetics and size. The inclusion of stainless steel appliances adds a touch of elegance. So far, our interactions with the neighbors have been positive, and the property is well-maintained.

  Management is TERRIBLE!! You can never get the front office to answer the phone and despite being transferred to the central answering line and requesting a call back - THEY NEVER RETURN CALLS!! On the day I went to the lease office to give my thirty day notice, I was told that there would be a flat rate of $2,000. This is also how I understood the lease to read. While I was there filling out the paperwork with management, I specifically asked if there would be anything over $2,000 owed to break my lease and was told no. I filled out the form with my intended leave date and was told by management that was all that was required. I was charged for damages with no explanation of said "damage." It is unacceptable that I received an email stating that I have a final balance of nearly $600 including a "late fee." It would be understandable if that was explained up front or explained at all for that matter. The Highpointe staff is responsible for this error and I should not have been faulted for it. However, after emailing, leaving a message on the resident portal, and multiple attempted calls to the office with no response my account was turned over to collections. Trust me when I say if you’re looking to move into an apartment steer clear of this one!!!

  Highpointe is a very nice place to live. I lived there for 2 years and upon my initial move-in, in 2019, they had some office staff changes. These changes were for the best. Mario the manager, and Lisa at the front of the office are some remarkably easy people to work with. They will be sure that any issues you have are tended to promptly. The maintenance is also really prompt and thorough. Austin, as a more recent addition to the head of this property's maintenance team, will go above and beyond to see that your issues are promptly and accurately handled. Keith was another maintenance worker that I often saw who shared the same attributes. All of the maintenance team is very friendly and speaks to you as you pass by them. The pool amenities are nice but are often filled with the same group of tenants, so if you would like to have weekends at the poolside you would need to arrive quite early. The fitness center has nice equipment and there is a small playground for the kids to play at. The majority of the residents I have seen are upper 20-year-olds, young families, and some older adults. If I were to mention any complaints it would be that the USPS does not utilize the package lockers that other carriers use on the property. Instead, they place a slip into your mailbox and you have to physically present the slip at the post office. The garbage system could use an overhaul, as there are only two (albeit large) dumpsters. They fill rather quickly over the weekend so I just learned to take my garbage prior to the weekend or on Monday evening. Otherwise, if you are looking at a quiet, nice apartment with nice amenities, is close to grocery stores, a short drive to Flowood, and quick access to the interstate then this would be a strong place to consider.
