A very beautiful place to live quiet, great neighbors, and the office staff is very pleasant. Love the pool and the fact that it was open more frequently than my old place. Maintenance comes in a timely manner when I place my work order and the staff is very helpful.

The place is neat. The management is super friendly you'd think we are all tenants, and they are always happy to help. Premises and indoor public space is smart and amenities like the gym are never overwhelmed. A very safe space even for families and those new in and around the area. The office hosts occasional social events which makes it easy to get used to other folks around you. I am liking the place and will easily stay for many more years. Keep up the good work WPL.

Do not live at West Pine Lofts unless you want to live at the most disorganized and poorly managed apartment building in Midtown! I lived at West Pine for 2 years while completing my undergrad at SLU. While the place seemed fine at first, it quickly went downhill. To start, our maintenance requests were often canceled or took an extremely long time to fill. At one point our AC was out in the middle of August and they took a week or more to fix it because they refused to do emergency maintenance in the weekends. Then winter came and we nearly broke our necks on ice-covered sidewalks and unplowed parking lots. These same parking lots also always had gate malfunctions, so our gated lots would be unsecured for weeks on end. Not to mentioned the handles were always broken to the doors, causing us to have to pry our way into the building. When made aware of any of these issues, management would minimize them or simple ignore our pleas. The real kicker was when the building got roaches and management did not make it a point to spray the whole building and rather waited until residents were directly affected. We had to ask repeatedly to be on a list for pest treatment and each time the workers acted as if they had no clue that anyone was affected by roaches. They also told us after one round of spray that they were going to take us off of the list for treatment because surely all the roaches would be gone by then. The amenities also were not as great as they were made out to be. The pool was always closed or disgusting with bugs, hair, and who knows what else floating around. Gym equipment was always broken, and good luck getting the computer room printer to work. Now, our move out was also just ridiculous. While I left several emails and calls, the management refused to provide me with a detailed breakdown of our fees for damages. They actually did not give me the choice to refuse payment either. I had auto-pay set up for our rent, and they decided that they could also take the fees for damages out of that account as well. It seems a little shady considering that payment was set up specifically for rent and not for them to withdraw from it any time they pleased. Then my roommates and I were waiting to receive our deposits back. Once I got mine, I discovered they put 2 of our names on one check, even though the check amount was only equivalent to the amount that I paid. The other two roommates (there were 4 of us in total) never received a check back at all, even though they were told they should be getting their deposits back. I reached out to West Pine and told them they needed to send us all separate checks because we all paid different amounts and lived in different states, so we would be unable to cash them if two names appeared on each check. I received confirmation that they got my email and now I have been continuously calling and emailing for updates. I have not heard anything from them since August 28th, despite my persistence of asking for updates. It has now been nearly 3 months since we moved out and we have yet to receive our deposits. West Pine Lofts simply tries to scam and take advantage of college kids!
