- BFBridgette FarleyOct 25, 20255.0We have stayed in a 2 bedroom log cabin, building 3000 (Indian Creek) and the lodges. Indian Creek has its own private pool & hot tub exclusive to the people staying in that building. The other buildings, and even the log cabins have to share the regular pools. It is nice and quiet. We enjoy the presidential suite at Indian Creek the best. It is nice and roomy. At Christmas time they put a Christmas tree in the room. It has a fireplace indoors & out on the deck and there is also a private deck for the master suite. To stay at this resort, it is an extra $10 per night for the shuttle services. They can pick you up and take you to the clubhouse which has an indoor pool and outdoor hot tub that is open year around, they can take you to the outdoor pools, restaurants, fun mountain or any other place on property. It is very convenient as they can drop you off at the front door. Each night they have cookies for the guests. They used to deliver them and put them in your room each night, but stopped after Covid. Overall, it is a very rustic retreat, it draws people from all over and can be hard to get reservations especially in the summertime. There are 2 divisions, the timeshare side half owned by Johnny Morris the owner of Bass Pro Shops. It is called Bluegreen Wilderness Club Big Cedar resort. The resort was recently bought out by Hilton who is now partnered with Johnny Morris on the timeshare side. The other side is just Big Cedar. At the clubhouse, they have a lazy river which stays full and a double pool over by the lodges as well. Just off the lazy river is a small waterslide for kids. People can bring their own adult beverages as long as they are not glass. Fun Mountain has a mesmerizing bowling alley, go karts, arcade and a restaurant. There is a sand beach to swim at by the boat rental slips. There is a restaurant called buzzards bar, which is a popular hangout that also has a nightly entertainer that comes in. Kids can go in with parents. 4th of July they have a huge all day event with a fireworks show, bands, and air show. Great place.
