  Amazing views at one of the tallest residential buildings in the KC Metro area with the highest rooftop pool. I love being able to walk across to concerts just minutes before the show starts. Convenient transit locations to the greater KC area. Great provenance to say you live in a building by the same architect who designed the well-known Gulf+Western Building located at Columbus Circle, NYC.

  The Grand asking for additional tax abatement (which would take away from schools and other local resources) when they already have 100% tax abatement through 2029 and will continue to have 50% tax abatement through 2044 is GREEDY and clearly shows they don’t care about their local community as a whole. The greed of private developers and corporations these days is through the roof. I certainly wouldn’t want to live here with the messed up and selfish priorities of the owners. Taxpayers have already foot the bill for them more than we should have, and definitely should not do any more. To think tax abatement is the solution is absurd. Maybe work with local government and other non-profits to help our unhoused population and decrease crime as a whole. Not ask for a corporate “bailout.”

  I've lived here for nearly a year, and my experience has been exceptional. Lindsey and Alicia truly go above and beyond. That being said, downtown may not be the environment for every person, and that's okay! While it's impossible for The Grand to control what goes on outside the property, in downtown as a whole, I have seen a consistent effort between them and the security downtown. No city is perfect, but I've really enjoyed my time here, and everyone who works here makes it that much more enjoyable. That being said, the amenities and resident events they host regularly are so enjoyable too! My apartment is quiet and feels like home :)

  The residences in this building are beautiful and the views are stunning. We were excited because the prices are lower and we can finally afford one. Before you sign a lease here or anywhere it is highly advisable to ride by the apartment building at night. Thankfully we did and realized why there are so many shootings. There are hoodlums and homeless people hanging right outside the door and sitting by both entry doors to the lobby. You have to get past the homeless people begging and smoking to get from the parking areas. Also now I see the reviews from guests of the nightly rentals. The leasing office said they had a guest department but they didn’t tell us they had a bunch of people renting from outside sites. I I understand why they had to lower the price and I’m sure I don’t want to be a tenant when things go really downhill.
