I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Despite being marketed as a “luxury” community, it falls far short of that standard. If you have noisy neighbors, be prepared for a long and frustrating process with management. The office requires “proof” of noise complaints, and even after providing video evidence, they take little to no action other than suggesting an in-person meeting with the neighbors as a supposed “solution.”
This complex is extremely fine-happy and seems to look for any possible reason to charge residents additional fees, as many current residents have likely seen in the frequent emails about fines. If you plan to use the shuttle, expect it to often be full, forcing you to stand or be unable to board at all. It is also common to wait a long time for it to arrive, or for it to be canceled altogether due to weather or other issues.
Parking is another major problem. Unless you live on the outskirts of the complex, finding a spot is nearly impossible unless you pay for monthly parking, which feels like another money grab. On top of that, the office has a habit of adding incorrect charges to residents’ accounts, requiring you to repeatedly go back and forth with management or even a third-party company to get them removed.
For the “upgraded” apartments, expect to pay over $1,000 per month, plus utilities that become unreasonably expensive in the winter, despite the small size of the units. Overall, this complex is overpriced, poorly managed, and not worth the stress.

Wonderful place to live. Friendly staff, frequent events, large pool. I am renewing my lease for sure!

The amenities are amazing and I highly suggest taking advantage of them. Staff was always so helpful and knew me well so they made me feel super comfortable asking questions. Maintenance is amazing. If you submit a ticket, you will likely get help within 24-48 hours. I think this place is great and never had a major issue in all that time. It really feels like home!
I’ve lived at The Domain for a while now, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this complex to anyone, especially with the prices they charge.
The biggest issue was that my car was towed at 7:58 a.m. after I came home the night before and there were no free or unassigned parking spots available. I had no choice but to temporarily park in a reserved space that was completely empty and planned to move my car early the next morning. Instead of understanding that residents can’t control when the lot is full, The Domain had my car towed with zero warning. I had to pay $150 because the complex can’t provide enough parking for the people who actually live here. It felt predatory and extremely unfair.
On top of that, the rent situation has been incredibly misleading. I renewed my lease at a lower rate that was still available for several more days on their website. Despite that, management raised my rent anyway, using fine print to justify changing the price whenever they feel like it. As a result, I’m paying the highest rent out of all my roommates next year, even though I have the smallest room and renewed earlier. My rent is almost $100 more than what I pay now. The pricing practices here do not feel transparent or honest.
Another major issue is the unreliability of the shuttle. It regularly makes me late to class because it either fills up completely, leaving no seats or space to get on, or it simply doesn’t show up to the second stop at all. There have been multiple mornings where I’ve been left standing there waiting for a shuttle that never comes. For a complex that advertises this as a key amenity, the inconsistency is extremely frustrating and makes it impossible to rely on for getting to campus.
Maintenance and apartment quality haven’t matched the rising costs either. We’ve had constant issues: broken appliances, no hot water, poor water pressure, dirty carpets at move-in, cabinet doors falling off, a faulty balcony lock, and even large spiders throughout the apartment. Amenities need work too, the tanning bed doesn’t function because the bulbs are dead, and trash pickup is inconsistent.
Between the predatory towing, unreliable parking, misleading rent practices, and the number of maintenance issues we’ve had, I cannot recommend The Domain. For the amount they charge, residents should be treated fairly and the property should be maintained much better.

The Domain isn’t a bad place to live but they could improve in several areas. The staff is overall pretty friendly and helpful. The amenities they offer are also great. However, maintenance can take a while to fix things. For example, I was without a dryer for 2 weeks and they didn’t give us any sort of temporary solution or some of our rent back since we pay for a dryer and didn’t have it for half of the month. It also took them over a month to repaint my wall and it still doesn’t look the same as before. When I first moved in my apartment wasn’t completely cleaned and we had to put several maintenance requests in but they eventually fixed everything for us! The shuttle is convenient but I wish it ran longer on the weekdays as I have late evening exams. I also wish the shuttle went to campus more often, like every 15 minutes, because I find myself waiting a while for the next one to come. Additionally, I wish they had shuttles on the weekends specifically Friday and Saturday night so I didn’t have to drive or uber to campus constantly. The WiFi works pretty good most of the time, sometimes it’s a little slow and buggy though. They have several resident events that seem great but I haven’t attended any. They offer affordable prices but you definitely get what you pay for. There have been multiple instances where I have been charged extra for something I wasn’t expecting. Therefore, I’ve had to go out of my way and contact the office to get those charges removed. This is very stressful for me because the charges don’t come on my account until the first of the month so I only have one day to get them removed so I can pay the accurate amount for my rent. On top of school and work it is hard to find extra time to go to the office or call which is just unnecessary added stress for me to worry about. I personally think I should be able to pay around the same amount every month (with the exception of utilities changing) and not worry about getting charged extra for things. I want to enjoy my time at my apartment complex without constantly having to deal with this. However, the management team was kind enough to refund me multiple times for extra or incorrect charges to my account and I greatly appreciate that! Overall, it is not a bad complex but there are definitely things I wish they would improve on. If you don’t mind the extra hassles then I would recommend it for the amenities and price!
