I moved here this past fall. I absolutely love it here. The entire staff is amazing. Tina is a wonderful property manager. She knows her stuff and also takes residents' concerns very seriously. She is a very nice and sweet person. She knows how to handle conflicts or issues and quickly resolves them. TJ is an excellent maintenance person. He does absolutely everything possible to fix issues that arise. He's the best maintenance person I've had at any apartment I've lived in. Kati does a wonderful job taking care of the grounds and the complex. If you have cleaning questions, you can definitely ask her for her opinion, as she's an expert in that area. The things I absolutely love about this place that are outside of the staff: 1) We have an underground garage that is included in our rent. We get one parking space. Albeit, the spaces are very tight down there, but it is great to have that peace of mind with the garage. 2) All utilities minus electric are paid for. A lot of places make you pay more than that. I'm happy to find a place that just requires us to pay electric. 3) Free internet up to 50 mbps. I don't have to get my own account from Xfinity or CenturyLink. Contracted tech support if there are issues. 4) Free car wash. We have a bay in the garage to use. 5) Storage units for free. Tina maintains a wait list for people who want to have a small storage unit. It's the size of a very small closet, but it's great! You provide your own lock. 6) You can have pets here. 7) You can plant flowers and decorate your patio (within reason). I love flowers, so I'm happy I can plant them again. Plus, you can grow your own food (within reason). Think potted plants for food. 8) Locked entry. Either have a key or you call a resident, and they buzz you in. 9) Security cameras in some areas of the building. I hope they expand them to the perimeter for outside and on every floor, including expanding the one by the mailbox to get the entire view of it, so when packages are not taken upstairs, they can be monitored, and more in the parking garage. 10) Secure package room - code required to get in. There are some downsides living here. 1) The main one being that there is absolutely no insulation/buffering of noise. The walls and ceiling are so thin, you can hear people walking around above you, neighbors being loud, and it can be a bit disturbing. 2) There are only two laundry rooms for all the residents to use. It's a hit and miss when the laundry rooms are free. I wish they had one on first floor. 3) The elevator is great, but it is out of order a lot. Tina does her best to have the elevator person to fix it, but it's been happening more since I first moved in. 4) Ants are everywhere and love to invade the building. However, we do have a pest control company that comes out monthly to handle issues. They don't spray in our apartments monthly. Rather, they come when we make a complaint. I had an ant issue when I moved in. But it was taken care of. As long as you let Tina know about it, they will handle it. 5) No grills allowed. That's corporate's policy, even though they are allowed in St. Paul. Going to the back parking lot is okay, but we're not allowed to store grills in the garage, in our apartments, in our storage unit or on our patios. Where exactly are we supposed to keep them, especially if we don't have family here that can keep it for us? However, indoor grills are allowed as long as they are electric. 6) No fireworks allowed, not even snappers, or smoke bombs. While fireworks are illegal in St. Paul, small novelty ones aren't. 7) No sidewalk chalk. We should be able to make art. It's not permanent. Art can actually help curb appeal. Overall, this is a wonderful place to live. The pros outweigh the cons by a long shot. I hope to stay here another two or three years, if not longer.

We've been at SunCliffe for 7 months. We love it here. Tina is so nice, the neighbors are pleasant, the property is cute, and the updates to the apartments are just awesome. We love the limited amounts of carpet, the insane amounts of cabinet storage, and you cannot beat the price. Close to Maplewood and Woodbury (such awesome communities) and of course downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis too. Lots of pet-loving people here! Electricity comes out to around $40/mo for our one bedroom, and that's the only utility you pay for. Internet is good. Garage space included in rent, pets are a very small additional fee. Everything is just great. Only complaint is that the washers and dryers go out of service fairly often, but they are usually fixed within a day or two. We highly recommend taking a tour at SunCliffe.

I lived here from 2007 - 2012, and again from 2014 - 2015. My original experience there had the non-renovated apartment. I loved it. I lived in the one bedroom apartment facing north on the third floor next to the south stairwell. The downside was loud cars in the parking lot at times, and sometimes noise from the hallway. It cannot be stressed enough how there was almost no noise from neighbors. Even the stairwell was relatively quiet. My bedroom backed up to the cable room, so the stairwell noise was really limited. There was a free storage room and a free parking space underground. The trash chute was something I even miss to this day. I moved out because rent was getting too high and I didn't realize I was a valued tenant and Tina would have likely negotiated to make me stay. Unfortunately I found a new place before letting her know. I moved to another apartment complex (also wrote a review for it), and regretted it. I moved back almost as soon as I was able, and eerily enough I was able to get back into my EXACT SAME UNIT. This time it was renovated. It was exceptional except for the laminate flooring -- just a drop of liquid gets on the floor and it puckered! Tina was the best apartment manager I've ever worked with. I don't know if she still works there, but she was excellent. The only reason I moved out (and paid to break my lease) was because we decided to buy a house shortly after renewing our lease. Still is the best apartment living experience I've ever had or ever heard of from my friends and family. The neighborhood is not great, but it keeps the rent down! And underground parking means you never have to worry about cleaning snow off your car, shoveling your car out, or moving your car for the lot to be plowed! Even though I own a house now, I still find things I miss about this place.
