  I have lived here for 8 years. With the introduction of RUBS, we were told this cost would be around 23 dollars. It is now 55.00 dollars, this amount fluctuates each month and it is a nightmare for budgeting. This month we didn't even receive a print out of what was being charged for what. This additional bill may not be a lot to some, but our apartment's electric bill was less than our RUBS costs this month. This new billing system is adding 660.00 to our overall rent costs. RUBS never goes down it only fluctuates upward. So, if you are getting an apartment here, tag on an additional 700.00 for the year. We pay for an apartment, not for the entire complex. BIGOS needs to take care of their own use of the complex and not add it to their tenants responsibilities. BIGOS should also look into more cost effective ways of running their properties. Solar panels, turning off lights in unused apartment's, they should show us what they are doing to cut these costs. I got an apartment to not have to pay these additional costs. Also, the more bedrooms in your apartment here, the more you pay. We have a 2 bedroom apartment. We are currently looking up legislation on RUBS and making sure that BIGOS is following all of the local laws surrounding this new billing system. Appointment have been made with legislators from this area to discuss the ramifications of RUBS.

  It was brought to my attention that the Maintence people come in with out a 24 hr notice. They came in my friends apt when she was in the shower and when she got out he was standing there. Also they say that they are inspecting for pest/ bugs, but bring a dog to sniff. That no Politically correct. I will be helping my friend out by notifying the Ramsey County rental division concerning these rules. I am advising my friend to move.

  I enjoy living here! The apartments are decent size, management always responds when I have questions or concerns and maintenance will fix anything needed in a timely manner. I never have any issues with my neighbors & feel safe when letting my dog outside!

  Garden grove is quiet and very relaxing to live here. Only have 4 neighbors :)

  I lived here for a year, and though it definitely was not perfect, compared to all the other apartments I've lived in over the years, the management at garden Grove did a pretty good job in my opinion. They always took my calls seriously and fixed issues that I had. Major complaints: The hot water/heating situation was sometimes a major issue. There were a few times in winter when I was taking a shower and the water went from hot to ice cold. I was told it was because the heating and hot water boilers were a single system. So at peak shower times on a cold day it was possible that the hot water would temporarily run out. Parking lot. They need to repave the parking lot. There were giant craters the entire time I lived here.
