- HDHaley DukeNov 23, 20254.0Lived at Gabella for 1.5 years (had to break my lease due to work relocation). I lived in the one bedroom plus den on the third floor for one year then got a roommate second year and moved to a three bedroom on the ground floor. First year I had little to no issues. Apartment was ready on move in, staff was friendly, common areas were good, the maintenance staff was amazing, garage was kept clean, etc. The only issue I had that year was during the winter I went back to my home state and left my vehicle in the open lot behind the building. They sent out a notice two days before letting us know it was going to be plowed and that any vehicles left would be towed and you would need to pay a fee. Long story short I couldn't get out of this. My car ended up being towed because I was in a different state and had to pay a ridiculous fee to get it back (This was a couple days before Christmas. So I guess advice is to have someone that can move your car if you are not there.) Then the half year got a three bedroom ground floor with a roommate. This time we had a few issues with move in but the maintenance staff was prompt and fixed the issues within two days. Main issue living there was the laundry machine it kept giving us the balance load light even with one item in there so we had to check the load multiple times per wash and dry (Updated machines would be amazing). That all being said DO NOT break a lease with this apartment if you can help it. The fee is ridiculous and you have to let them know at least 2 months in advance (you have to pay for those months regardless, but i see this is more and more common with apartments these days). Also during the time i left staff was short handed and it was more and more difficult to get ahold of someone. Not to mention when I left the park in front of the complex went under construction which was one of the main selling points for me. Best of Luck Renters
