They ignored my emails at first, then sent a pest company that only placed a few traps and even denied there were cockroaches. I had to hire my own pest control at my own expense. When I emailed Chris, he avoided the issue and kept asking for in-person meetings. When I insisted on written communication, he blamed me instead. I decided to terminate the lease, but Chris said I must pay a penalty — even though the pest problem is the apartment’s fault. Paying around $2,700 a month to live with roaches and stress is unacceptable, so I’ve started consulting lawyers and small court help. Please don’t move into this apartment — you’ll face a serious cockroach infestation, with roaches even crawling on your bed and around your food. The management won’t fix the problem, and when you try to defend your rights, they’ll turn around and blame you instead.
