- JKJessica Koomson3 days ago1.0Didn’t feel welcome at all. Before I even moved into the apartment, they were not clear about the things I had to pay for, and they were not clear about the criteria that I had to meet to move in. They would also withhold information and whenever you think that you’ve submitted everything you needed to submit to move in they will add something new on top of it. Upon moving in the leasing office told me that they would check the apartment to make sure everything was good and everything was working, and they called me back to let me know that it was, just that the previous tenants had left a mattress topper and the lamp. What they failed to mention was the food that was rotting in the fridge and creating mold and the stench coming from the fridge, the mold coming from the kitchen sink, the stench coming from the kitchen sink, the dirt and debris all inside the cabinets, the mold in the showerhead, the mold in the bathroom sink. The smell of mold was just pungent throughout the entire apartment and I had to spend over $200 in cleaning products to clean 90% of it. Then when I was notified that my roommate would be coming into move in, my roommate calls me and lets me know that the room that I was put in by the leasing office was the room that she was supposed to move into luckily that part was squared away, but I feel like if I’m moving into somewhere, I shouldn’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to clean a place when it should’ve been cleaned and everything should’ve been working before I got here. Not to mention The washer when I put my comforter in there which cost $50 plus tax after I took it out of the washer it left what look like a mildew or mold all over my blanket, so I no longer can use it. Particularly people of the leasing office are kind but some of the other ones are not welcoming meaning they won’t even acknowledge that your standing there so it would just feel super uncomfortable and awkward.
