The Dad Who cares

I would like to ask if anyone whom lives at pondside now to write a review or update there existing one.
Since recent management change, things are not going in the right direction. I'm friendly with residents & they are too!
Maintenance guy Pablo, the only maintenance worker I met, is also friendly.
Last winter the back door to the building was iced shut for days, maintenance had not been aware because the snow job was contracted out. Saftey hazard was a concern to me.
8 months in the cheap building key broke & they wanted to charge me 25$ for it but I had to ask some fairness with hardship.
10 months in, my place had to get sprayed by Watham Pest solutions. I HAD NO BUGS, NO signs of any, & NO reports of any. I'm on the second floor & I talk with most people in my building and NO ONE else on (TOP floor) had 2 treatments in their place except mine. I spoke with managment about it. I have a kid & dogs & most importantly NO bugs! Chemicals do more harm than any roaches would ever do, although I was encourage it was "for my saftey." -By management. She also stated non agressive, but threaten way, if I dont, it violates lease & she would make note & let housing know I'm refusing a treatment.
I went on vacation for a month. I wrote a check for the following month, weeks early because my rent was due the begining of the following month. I dated the check for the following month & they cashed it the very next day.
When I got up to camp I had no money to pay for the remainder of the trip I owed.
Just last month, I was slid a letter in my door saying I haven't paid my rent last month and I need to promptly make payment arrangements. My last months rent check was somehow "missplaced or lost" after putting the rent into the drop box. It drops into a specific box in the main office. I'm quite baffled that it carlessly went "missing".
I had to cancel the check and pay a 25$ non refundable fee to my bank.
Several familys from Kenya have moved in recently all at once in almost every single building here. ( They seem kind )
I only make note because the quick flood of the families was too ironic. It also appears to be multiple families, in each of the appartments. I have seen the adults & kids using rocks to keep the building doors open so they could get in & out.
SAFTEY is a serious concern with that.
Shockingly, as I was walking my dog & coming to the front door of my building recently, a baby, about 18 months was laying sideways on the stairs to get up the second floor about halfway down the stairs crying, as if he had just fell down. I
opened the door to get in & the boy stopped crying, I pick him off the stairs, placed him down on his feet. He quickly went into crawling position. Realised it was a kid from one of the family's that just moved in. Knocked on the door & explained what I saw. His mom was inside her appartment unaware.
Not even a year here yet, today, I recieved a notice that my rent is increasing roughly 100$ more.
My apartment is nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. Kitchen appliances about 7years old. Both bathrooms are pretty outdated.
The hallway in my building was painted so bad, it looks very unprofessional. Dust always on building interior lights.
We have a run down tennis court & basket ball court for things to do here "recreationally" I even went out of my way & got replacement netting for the old basket hoop, because the old one was dangling lifeless.
The increase in price of rent and the lack of updates even with the buildings, amenities, and peculiar & or shocking things & events happening, I do NOT think that the appartment, priced at well over 3k a month for 2 bedroom, would be a good choice for the average working person or family.
If Pondside appartments and managment do a complete 180°, I will honorably increase my review accordingly.
Respectfully, I make reviews with integrity. This is my honest experiences and review.
Thankyou for reading.
