  Wish I had known about this place sooner! It's a pretty quiet and safe place which I found perfect for studying. Staff is very friendly and I found myself hanging out in the housing office from time to time. Housing staff is usually good about letting their residents know what is going on within the property, whether it's gate malfunctions or low-key events in the housing office. Maintenance is great too! Whenever problems arose, all it took was a quick request through the housing portal and the Maintenance crew usually got it done within the same day or the next business day. Overall, I had a much better experience with this place compared to my previous apartment. I think I will be staying at least until I graduate from vet school!

  This is my second year living here, and choosing this community has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The office staff and management team are always helpful and responsive, and they handle any requests with professionalism and care. The maintenance crew deserves special recognition—they are incredibly fast and efficient. Overall, the entire team does an outstanding job, and I’m very satisfied with my experience here.

  I’ve been living at The Retreat Apartments on Brightside for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic experience. The property is beautifully maintained, and the grounds are always clean and well-kept. The staff here are incredibly friendly and responsive. A special shoutout to Anna, who is always so helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. Whether it’s answering questions or assisting with requests, Anna makes sure you feel valued as a resident. The apartment itself is spacious and modern, with great amenities like a washer/dryer in-unit, stainless steel appliances, WiFi, and plenty of closet space. I love the balcony, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day. When it comes to maintenance, Jerry is the go-to guy. He’s always quick to respond and gets things done efficiently, with a great attitude. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to keeping everything in top shape, and Jerry definitely makes a big difference here. Location-wise, it’s ideal! Super close to LSU, which is a huge plus if you’re a student or staff member, but it’s also conveniently located to shopping centers, restaurants, and public transit, making it easy to get around Baton Rouge. One of the highlights for me is the community feel. The common areas, including the pool and clubhouse, are great for meeting neighbors or just enjoying some downtime. It feels like a safe, welcoming place to live, and the staff really go the extra mile to make sure residents feel comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend The Retreat Apartments on Brightside for anyone looking for a quality, well-located place to live in Baton Rouge!

  I’ve had a great experience living at Retreat at Brightside overall. The front office staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and willing to help with anything that comes up. They make the community feel comfortable and are quick to answer questions or point you in the right direction. The maintenance team deserves a special mention because they’re polite, respectful, and usually very quick to respond. Any time I’ve put in a request, the handy men have taken care of it efficiently and explained what they were fixing, which I really appreciate. The reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that there are still a few small areas that could be improved, but nothing that outweighs the positive experience I’ve had. Overall, it’s a solid place to live with a great staff supporting the community.
