Worst place I've ever lived, thank god I only have a month left. I could give you 100 reasons not to rent from 100 Chevy Chase, but here is a list of A FEW issues I've had over the past 11 months: 1. Mold. My shower ceiling actually caved in from all of the mold. Maintenance put a piece of hard plastic over it as a "fix". The whole place smells like mold. 2. Hoarders next door caused a cockroach infestation. They've been evicted for a week now and the place is still full of disgusting stuff and it reeks. 3. Constant papers taped to my door saying I owe money for late rent, like random letters for "$14.36" or "$68.17". Impossible, I've never been late on rent and I always pays it in full. They always say "Oops, another accounting error on our part." 4.The office DOES NOT answer their phone, I could call all day and no one ever picks up or their call center says they'll schedule a call back that you'll never receive. I literally have to take off work and go to the office to put in any kind of request or dispute those "late rent charges". 5. Pool didn't open until the last week of August. 6. They finally fixed all of the potholes in the parking lot, rendering parts of lot blocked for a night. There were no visitor spots at all, so my boyfriend parked next to one in the evening and got towed the next morning before we had woken up. That's a $127 fee because there was nowhere else for him to park. The towing guys prey on cars every night and I've even caught them peeking into my rear windows . The parking stickers are on the windshields, so there's no reason the creeps should be doing that. 7. Even after setting off countless bug-bombs, there is a mosquito infestation. The place is so moldy and moist, it's impossible to keep them away. I have scars on my arms from all of the bites. On the plus side, the staff is super friendly and maintenance has been timely. My rent for a two bedroom and the utilities they include (water, sewer, trash) is ~$760 a month. I honestly would not complain so much if the rent wasn't so outrageous compared to what I'm getting here, but this place is a dump. It's tiny, creaky, smelly, loud, old, and definitely not somewhere I would ever stay again. I'd rather live in my car. (And to the owner, spare me the reply in the comments with an apology. Unless you want to reimburse my $127 from being towed, I don't care.)
