So glad our application fell through . The apartments are 50 plus years old. In serious need of renovation. The complex charges you for everything under the sun. Bug spraying, filters for the furnace, $10.00 per car. So on and so on. Think twice before you move in. The pool, golf course and gym do not make up for poor the condition of the apartments. Whew....

The apartments are subpar and the way they do water bills and billing in general is ridiculous. If you are coming here in hopes of having "luxury" apartments because they are cheap keep in mind after all the fees instead of 1440 for a 3 bed 2.5 bath townhome you'll be paying 1800+ after fees. If you travel a lot for work like I do steer clear because you will end up paying 200 for water still because you are paying for everyone else's water too. Maintenance will close work orders without even looking at them. I put one in because my furnace will not shut off and they closed it same day without doing anything to the ticket. I have cracking in my upstairs bathroom that I'm concerned about because my apartment had the roof collapsed before I moved in and they told me it was just foundational cracks from the building settling. The management team is a joke too and will not work with you on anything or barely give you the time of day after your first 30 days and they force you into a 15 month lease. I'm astonished that this place has a 4.0 on google maps because it acts like a 2.5 place to live. Also they have a water main break every other month it seems like because people apparently dont mark where pipes are before they do any work whatsoever.

Maintenance won’t do anything to fix anyone’s issues, I’ve had mice consistently for over a year and had multiple work orders in and well as pest control and the issue has yet to be resolved. On top of other things breaking and not being dealt with for months until I finally pestered them enough. My hot water was leaking and stuck running for 2 months before they fixed it and it caused my electric bill to be 400$ 2 months in a row and I live alone and rarely have lights on. When maintenance finally did come they told me my issue wasn’t that important and he complained the whole time he was fixing it. They have yet to actually handle the mice still and I have 2 other broken things in my apartment I’m sure will never get fixed. Horrible management, overpriced.

TLDR: It’s expensive for what you get and not luxury at all, there’s roaches and mold that they will not remedy, buildings falling apart despite curb appeal, property is too large to properly keep up, maintenance will have a long wait. Spend your money elsewhere. PLEASE listen to the reviews of people who actually live here. Canterbury has not at all been worth what I’ve been paying for the last year and a half. Where to start? Count on your water being shut off at random, good luck figuring out when it’s going to be back on. When that water does work, you can be pretty sure it’ll cause damage all over your apartment, especially for the lower levels. What does water in the walls and ceiling bring, you ask? Mold, my friend, it brings mold. When said water inevitably starts leaking through your ceiling, emergency maintenance will kindly open up your bathroom ceiling to gain access, then the office will leave you with absolutely zero communication as to if or when they will be closing this hole. However, they will not do so before the mold that just started spewing out starts making you and your child constantly nauseous and have full blown migraines when you don’t ever get so much as a headache. The icing on the cake? You can even get the double German and palmetto cockroach special for free, with the added bonus of Billy’s bug busters (that Canterbury will force you to pay for with your rent) doing absolutely nothing to actually solve the issue! This issue is MONTHS in the works, tech continues over and over to claim that using bait only will cure an infestation. Then after about 5 months, they’ll finally come spray exactly one time, make everything worse, and then radio silence. Pest control tech also shut my cat into a bedroom with no access to food, water, or litterbox for who knows how long while I was out. If you have cats I’d be careful. I’m on my way out this month (the office was gracious enough to let me out of my lease but didn’t offer any form of concession) and I will not be able to take my pantry goods or my upholstered furniture due to the pure negligence of Canterbury Green and Gold Oller to ensure that I am living in a roach-free, mold-free, and otherwise habitable dwelling. My first red flag should’ve been lease signing day when the apartment directly next to me was condemned. These units are all old and need worked on structurally, beyond slapping new cabinets and laminate flooring in and jacking up prices. The whole property got painted within the last year, but the buildings are rotting from the inside out. Highly recommend searching literally anywhere else.
