  While working with Pulte as a builder may be a reasonable choice, I strongly advise against using them as a lender. My experience with their mortgage team was nothing short of frustrating and costly. The mortgage officers demonstrated a serious lack of proactive communication and did not take a comprehensive or holistic approach. Updates were sparse, often delayed, and it felt like I had to chase them down for even the most basic information. Why this MY sale or THEIR sale? They most likely made $200k off me (just the initial profit + commission) and this is how they treat their “valued customer”? There was no sense of urgency or flexibility. Everything was handled with rigid, by-the-book thinking, even when it defied logic or common sense. We live in a grey world. I expected someone who could "think out-of-the-box" and that's putting it mildly. Despite having 2x in portfolio stock holdings to buy the house in cash, they insisted on requiring a co-signer citing my income generating investment properties as a risk factor. Their underwriting approach was completely disconnected from financial reality, and it showed profound misunderstanding of how diversified wealth and assets work. My previous mortgage officer in Texas had no issue whatsoever when buying our first home and was quite delighted to earn our business. Of course, Pulte will blame Fannie May and point the finger... which is about the only thing they are good at - making excuses and pointing fingers. To make matters worse, their poor project management delayed my closing. It's ironic since they threatened me a fine of $300 per day if I had to push back our closing to accommodate our life changes. Yet, they were going to do it and not bat an eyelash. This really showed my family what they thought of us being "the customer" and wanting our business. This delay cost me just over $10,000 dollars as I was forced to put my moving company into a hotel for 3 nights + cover their meals. I had to call my Aunt and Uncle who flew in from Colorado, I had to call the AT&T technician, I had to take another PTO day off of work as well as my wife (who is a doctor) and my mother. It caused a complete domino train wreck. Pulte's mortgage team offered no assistance or reimbursement and showed ZERO accountability or compassion / empathy for the situation they created. Thanks for making me feel like a "valued" customer. Total joke of an experience. If it weren't for Sandy coming in at the 1-yard line or Eric (construction manager), I was inches from telling Pulte to keep my $50,000 and going elsewhere. I should’ve known this was the type of service we would get since this is how it was from the very jump. I tried to give them grace and thought for sure things would turn around… I was totally wrong. The IT "support" is a total dumpster fire and Minja also showed NO EMPATHY whatsoever for Pulte's IT obstacles. She got the sale and moved on. There was no partnership or genuine care for me and my family. If you're getting families to move out of state, then you better invest in your tech stack and get your website portal to work. This is a pretty low bar to hit. If you're going to build with Pulte, do yourself a favor and find another lender. Their mortgage division is inflexible, unresponsive, and completely lacking in customer service or financial sophistication.

  All im going to say is dont buy from Pulte. They cut corners big time. The quality and materials used are cheap and bare minimum standards. They would do some nominal( caulking, nail pops) fixes at one year mark . And they never stand by their warranties. They assign you a customer care manager whose job is to just diminish and lessen the issues and concern raised by saying how its not their responsibility anymore even if something is broken from the day you moved in.

  Garbage quality homes numerous warranty issues. Rush to close, no focus on quality. Won't buy Pulte again.

  Purchased a home from them back in 2019. When this happened they started off by giving us the wrong papers and had to sign everything again. Right there should have been my red flag but I kept going forward. Fast forward to today and everything is a mess. House has many issues which was never fixed and Pulte Mortage sent all the wrong info to my county along with the wrong tax ID. Have called so many times this past year and half and all they tell you is, it’s not their problem anymore and do nothing to fix the issue every though they caused every issue! Save yourself time and stress and purchase from another reputable company or at very least don’t know take a loan from them, you will regret it!!!!!
