Maintenance team is terrific. They usually come the day of or the next day of request depending on when I submit the request. They are also very professional and get issues resolved. The management team is also helpful. I specifically like the new check-in scan code feature newly added. In this way, residents can scan the QR code to check in and wait in line to get help with. Lastly but importantly, I really appreciate the 24/7 safety patrol which makes the community safe!!

The apartment location is good. There are a couple of things that can be improved: 1. The maintenance persons, who regularly visits after maintenance, are usually non-technical persons (I guess). So most of the times they try to suggest what to do for solving the issue or try to temporarily solve an issue rather than focusing long term solution. Sometimes, it was found they directly blame the residents for the issue, although the issue was not occurred due to current residents. For one maintenance, they told that if a tech guy come to solve the issue, the office will charge $500 from the residents. I would suggest them to become more resident-friendly and well-behaved as we can live in this complex peacefully, together. Alternatively, in other complexes, I found that the tech guys come and solve immediately with long term solutions. Their behavior was also good and they rely on resident reviews.Residents become more happy in that. 2. There should be a strong review system after the maintenance services and after office visits. By ‘strong’, I meant the reviews need to be taken care of for performance or appraisal. 3. The office visits are kind of scary for residents. That means, even for small things or small issues to discuss, it may take a couple of hours to wait in the office (even though there might not be long queues), and even that can take a couple of visits for the same issue - as it was not solved. The office persons can be trained to be more dynamic and efficient. 4. For every office visits from residents, the office should send a follow up email within the next day. The email should not be generic or automated, it should focus on the solution of the office visit. 5. The could introduce dishwashers (may be except studio rooms) and a good ventilation, which are both absent. 6. The glass windows should be cleaned regularly, at least once in a month. The buildings look dirty from outside. 7. If the amazon packages are delivered downstairs, there is a high chance that someone will open that or steal the item. It happened multiple times. If we inform this to office, they simply suggested us to use the ‘Fetch’ delivery service, other than solving about the stolen items. The residents should be confident in their items, security, etc. 8. In one day, a maintenance person entered in our unit with his key, without knocking the door. We were inside the unit and asked why he came, he said he thought we might have a maintenance request (but we didn’t have any maintenance request at that time). He said he mistakenly entered in the wrong unit. This was not expected from us. 9. The parking issue is severe here, particularly the buildings which are closest to the office. The residents need to park their car at the last building, most often, for not getting parking spots nearby. And the other buildings have larger number of effective closest parking spots, compared to the buildings closest to office. After all, I still gave a 4 star review, as I love this complex. There are some good persons in this complex, including some helping minded office personals as well. I just expect that the authority will take care of the issues to make this complex more resident friendly in a happy environment. I would love to edit my review to 5 star, once I see cordial solutions regarding my suggestions.

I had an awful experience living at Prairie Shores Apartments and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. After I moved out, they charged me for damages that weren't even real and never bothered to notify me - I only found out when a collection agency contacted me. This was by far the worst place I've ever lived. They'll hit you with ridiculous charges after you leave and send them to collections without warning. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from this place.

I lived here for 3 years and here are my views on these apartments: THE POSITIVE -This is the perfect location if you are an Indian student. Large community of South Indians living here. -About 15 minutes away from downtown. There is a bus stop just outside the apartments. Super convenient. -There is a university near by as well. -There is the trolley/subway just behind the apartments, within walking distance. -The Hub: a very cool common area for the residents with 2 floors of gym space, an outdoor balcony with several grills and sitting options this area is only open during spring and summer, party area with a pool table and private study rooms. Every now and then management puts together fun parties with food and drinks for the residents. -Maintenance is outstanding! There are usually 3 to 4 maintenance men for each building and they are very fast and resolve any issues within hours or at the most a day. I really appreciate how clean they keep the buildings, they do a great job!. -Each apartment has an outdoor little park/nature area we’re the residents can go and sit and relax. They also offer small grills for outdoor cooking. -The apartments have a lot of closet space. THE NEGATIVE: -Management doesn’t really resolve much when it comes to needing their help with something. -The apartments have automatic heating systems winch the residents have no control of. This is very frustrating because there are days where the apartments feel like an oven! It can get super hot and on very cold days it will feel like it’s not even heating at all!. That part is definitely something that I hated while living here. -The Paint they use for the apartments chips very easily, in fact in the kitchen little flakes of paint would constantly be found in our pots and pans, plats and cups and we would always have to be careful not to let any get in our food while cooking. -The parking is NOT FREE, you will need to pay to have your car in the apartment lots. The system they use for payment is ridiculous and can be very frustrating to deal with. Overall I enjoyed my stay here but I do feel that these apartments are more suitable for students.

This has to be the worst management company I have ever experienced in my life. I parked my car in my building parking lot to go in and complain about my packages being stolen, my furniture stolen from my storage area and the need for exterminating the building after several complaints to walk out and under an hour they towed my car. The phones are never answered and the emails are never followed up on. Every review below is accurate. I inquired with the management team and was told Matt Bryjak the “general manager” can do absolutely nothing which we know is not honest. SO NO COMPASSION FOR my things stolen, my mail stolen, phone calls and emails never answered. Just pay the tow fee! Don’t move here, don’t allow the nice hub building sway you to move into a place that has no respect for their residents in any capacity. The biggest help thus far has been the maintenance of my building.
