  There's constant loud remodeling of units going on that begins without any notice from management and lasts for weeks at a time. You can hear hammers and power tools from inside your own unit the entire day, which is frustrating if you work from home. Unless you've always dreamed of living on a construction site, I would not recommend it here.

  My partner and I lived at Park Michigan for two years, and it was the best rental experience we have ever had. We truly loved our apartment — it was spacious, beautifully renovated, and everything was new. For a one-bedroom, one-bathroom, the rent was very reasonable given the amount of square footage and quality we were getting. Community & Staff: From day one, the building felt like home. The concierge team was always warm and welcoming whenever we walked in, and the maintenance crew was amazing — often resolving requests within 24 hours. The leasing office team was just as impressive. From Taylor, who gave us our initial tour, to the manager, Monica, everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about residents. Monica, in particular, was incredibly accessible and responsive — she was often in her office to answer quick questions in person and replied to emails promptly, usually within the same day. Location: The location couldn’t be better. As PhD students at the University of Chicago, it was ideal — right in the heart of the South Loop near Museum Campus, just a 4–5 minute walk to the 11th Street Metra station, which drops you off at the 59th Street/UChicago stop. The University of Chicago shuttle stops were also less than a 10-minute walk away. We loved being close to downtown while still having an easy commute to Hyde Park. Trader Joe’s, Jewel-Osco, Whole Foods, and Target were all just steps away, making shopping incredibly convenient. And you are right at the entrance to the museum campus’ lakefront path— I did my running/ walking/biking there! Amenities: The building’s amenities were a huge part of why we loved living here. The fitness center is excellent, and we were lucky to have Louis Johnson as our trainer — he’s the best! He made our workouts enjoyable and created a real sense of community. Free group fitness classes were another great perk, and they gave us the chance to meet neighbors and connect with the trainers. We also loved using the business center — it’s quiet, comfortable, and perfect for Zoom meetings or a change of scenery for focused work. Overall, Park Michigan provided us with not just a beautiful apartment, but a wonderful community and lifestyle. We only left because my partner got a job in another state — otherwise, we would be happily living at Park Michigan again this year. We are so grateful for our time here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home in Chicago!

  I’ve had the pleasure of working with Monika & Jon, and I can confidently say they’ve done an exceptional job transforming Park Michigan. The difference in the property since they took over is night and day from the improved curb appeal to the attention to detail in every aspect of the building’s operations. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to both residents and vendors truly stand out. They communicate clearly, handle challenges quickly, and always go the extra mile to ensure everything runs smoothly. It’s rare to see someone take such pride in their work, and it shows in the results. Thanks to Monika & the whole team, Park Michigan has become a place that residents are proud to call home, and it’s been a pleasure working alongside them.

  I did a tour with a leasing lady (don’t remember her name) - she said I had 24 hours to submit an application in order to get the offer for new residents. Never heard back, reached out twice and still no response. Not sure if I should take this personally or what! Losing prospective tenants for no reason... Great job!
