This was one of the most stressful housing experiences I’ve ever had. Problems started immediately upon move-in, and from day one it felt like the rules kept changing and our stability was constantly being threatened by management. During the same week we were moving in, our trailer was towed even though we had explicitly discussed having a trailer with the leasing office before moving in and parked it exactly where they told us to park. We weren’t even finished unloading our things into the apartment. Afterward, management denied responsibility and dismissed our concerns. The towing situation is relentless. The tow company patrols the parking lot constantly, and vehicles are towed with alarming frequency. It feels predatory rather than reasonable enforcement. Despite being marketed as a “luxury” apartment community, nothing about this place lives up to that claim. Amenities are almost never functional, the hot tub is broken most of the time, the sauna rarely works and appears to be a low-quality unit, and overall maintenance is poor. Even the gym has an overwhelming artificial scent that regularly caused headaches and migraines. Communication with the front office was consistently misleading and frustrating. We were told one thing verbally and then treated as if those conversations never happened. It felt like information was intentionally withheld or reframed when it benefited management. At one point, a representative from the bank that finances the property entered our unit to inspect the structure without our permission, which felt invasive and inappropriate. When I lost my job and exhausted unemployment benefits due to the job market, I communicated openly with management and asked for any kind of payment plan or temporary accommodation while I sought other income. No options were offered. Instead, we were immediately evicted. I am a single mother with a young child, and this decision directly resulted in us becoming homeless. They also kept our security deposit and one month’s rent paid upfront, and are continuing to claim we owe additional money that we do not. Even after eviction, the harassment has continued. This property feels like a cash-driven operation with no regard for tenant well-being. If you are considering living here and feel unsure, trust that instinct. I strongly regret ever signing a lease here.

The staff here are absolutely rude and nothing but ignorant and it’s embarrassing for the company to have employees who lack such professionalism. Not only are they inattentive to issues that many have brought to them, they also lack care in the place! The property is not well taken care of and there’s so many weird people living AND working in the place. Don’t live here.

I really wanted to love this apartment complex because it looks great on the surface, but living here has been a different story. The buildings and landscaping are nice, but that’s about where the positives end. Maintenance is extremely slow to respond, even for basic issues. Several requests went unanswered for days, and when someone finally showed up, the fixes felt rushed and temporary. Communication from management is also pretty frustrating—they’re friendly during the tour, but once you move in, it feels like you’re on your own. Noise is another major issue. The walls seem thin, and it feels like you can hear everything happening around you at all hours. Parking can also be a headache, especially in the evenings when spots are limited. Overall, the place photographs well, but the actual living experience just hasn’t matched the price or the promises. I wouldn’t recommend it unless some serious improvements are made.

My roommates and I moved into Dovetail at the beginning of October and have had nothing less than a perfect experience! Jennifer and Iris made sure to be attentive to all of our needs and followed up on a daily basis to ensure our move in process was as smooth as possible. The apartment itself was clean, smelt good, and was clearly cared for by property management in between tenants. If you’re looking for somewhere safe, clean, and hospitable, Dovetail is the only option!
