- NONathan OhrmanSep 19, 20252.0I lived there for the first two years that they were open. I love the location, the amenities, and the security. However, you will not be treated as an adult here. This is not a building where you can go as you please, bring guests easily, have a small gathering here and there without problems, pet sit, or even get a full nights rest on finals week without being woken up by a fire alarm. There are roaches on occasion as an added bonus to the existing issues. Other apartment buildings in savannah offer you an appartement where you never have to feel like every social occasion you have, or other miscellaneous life circumstance may be an obstacle to the staff or your surrounding neighbors, but at this building, they will. The floor and walls are absolute cardboard. You can hear EVERYTHING. I was at the very end of my hallway and you can hear our vacuum from the elevator. This means that practically everything you can become a potential noise complaint, which is a $100 charge to you and all of your roommates. The staff is nice on the surface but also drama queens for lack of better words. They dont react to transactional aspects of living in the way professionals would and everything feels like drama to them. Im very disappointed with their timeliness to maintenance. My microwave had broke (along with many others in the building) due to mold and moisture build up from original construction flaws. I was given a “temporary” microwave as things were taken care of, that was set on my counter. This became more of a permanent microwave, while there was a whole in my kitchen wall for almost an entire year, despite me and my roommates asking for the problem to be taken care of. I dont think this is the worst option to live in savannah, especially not for other scad students, but is absolutely NOT worth the cost. There are so many other options in savannah where you get way more for the same or even less cost, and they actually treat you like a trusted adult with a life of your own. I would move those options up higher on your list before this one, but this is still a safe option to live in if you cant find anything else.
