Great experience with the leasing office – the process was quick, clear, and the staff i connected with Ms Zarna Shearn were very helpful throughout my lease signing. Highly recommend

My wife and I have mostly enjoyed our stay at this complex. We’ve only had negative interactions with Zandra.
The other two women in the leasing office were nice and helpful to me.
Mainly giving a low rating because we feel like Zandra may not be the best person for her job, and because of our unit not being ready when we first moved in (not cleaned, broken things around the apartment).

Zandra Shearn is great at taking new applicants on tours, but doesn’t seem emotionally qualified to help current tenants.
The last time I asked her questions in her office about move-out documentation and told her my move out date, she was agitated and slammed her hands on the desk after sighing and slamming her hands on her head. It was a bit scary and off putting so afterwards, unless we were in public and not in her office, I just gave my questions to the other leasing agent who would go to her office and ask instead. After her slamming her head and then smacking the table, I even asked if she was okay in case she was just having a bad day. She wasn’t rude when I saw her today so maybe she was just going through a rough patch during our other interactions.
I also asked Zandra Shearn for a copy of my move-in inspection and she kept asking me what I wanted it for anyways, before finally saying she would send it by the end of the day. Every time I asked, she said she couldn’t find it but would send it by the end of the day, but would never send it or follow up. I went to another leasing agent (Adrianna) with the same request and she found it in under 10 minutes and gave me a physical copy too.
When I first moved into my apartment, it was clear my unit was not ready for move-in. It was littered with dead roaches, smelled like cigarettes, the walls were dirty, and the carpet wasn’t cleaned (which became evident when I vacuumed myself for about an hour). My oven also wasn’t calibrated when I moved in, which caused me to almost start a fire while trying to bake. The first month the light in my kitchen fell down, and another day the entire rack for the blinds by the patio door fell down too. Sometimes it smells like weed in my apartment but not outside the building which concerned me, but my neighbor said they had the same issue and it could be because someone is hotboxing inside their own apartment. I never complained about it formally because I don’t think it’s a jail worthy offense, but tenants should at least be reminded to only smoke outside so that the smell doesn’t enter everyone’s AC.
I don’t believe Adrianna was working in the leasing office when I moved in, but I wish she had been because she’s the main one that really tries so that tenants can have a good experience. I have a lot of questions at times because I’m new to renting and want to be informed, and I have only positive things to say about her. Marcel is helpful too but she was working in the office when I moved in and didn’t have any help or suggestions for the roach problem or the fact that my unit was never made ready for me so that was disappointing.
About the community:
The maintenance guy with a nose piercing has been helpful, quick, and responsive when we submit requests. Whenever he’s the one that comes to fix things, it only has to be fixed that one time. Thank you!
The pool area is nice and was kept clean (from what I saw) all summer
The community event where tenants got to grab little charcuterie bags was really nice and my favorite thing they’ve done for us
Good for kids, lots of families here and they have a playground
Gym has a small but acceptable amount of equipment
Close to a lot of shops so nice location
Strong desi community (very kind neighbors, and some have even made Indian food for me to try, which was amazing!)
Overall, my main tip is to tour the exact unit you want to move into, and call before your move-in so they can verify the apartment is actually ready for move-in. It’s truly not a bad complex, but it could work on a few things.

Definitely not a luxury apartment (roaches, no fresh paint in between tenants, dirty patchy carpet, peeling vinyl in kitchens, peeling bathtubs, flimsy wood, etc.) but it’s worth the price if you pay under $1100 for a one bedroom or under $1300 for a two bedroom. I do NOT recommend leasing if you can spend more than that. Maintenance is nice and seems responsive so extra star for them. They charged valet trash fees for months without the service being active or optional, and finally stopped charging the mandatory fee recently. The apartment was not filthy when I first moved in, and one of the managers said they can’t give paint samples or let residents know the color/name of the paint which seems a bit silly and isn’t the norm. Again, just not worth the price that most apartments are at but they always have one or two that are priced reasonably for what you’re getting.
